| Henderson 3mm Insta Dry Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Arthur H F. on 8/31/2009
InstaDry is a Nice Warm Dive Wetsuit - the price was right, so i decided to try the henderson instadry 3mm wetsuit. i tend to get cold easily doing multiple dives over a week and was looking for a warm dive suit. this is what i learned from reading the various comments and trying out the suit during a weeks dive trip.
(1) you probably need to order one size up. I wear a size 6 in the henderson hyperstretch. The size 8 in the instadry fit nicely.
(2) the suit is very! difficult! to get into. i tried putting a dry body into a dry suit and then a wet body into a wet suit, as was suggested. then i hit upon squirting diluted baby shampoo into the suit and on mei slid in easily (and smelled great as well after the dive)! ... View Full Review

| XS Scuba 3/2mm Pyrostretch Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Julia Johnson on 5/26/2007
Warm, Comfortable, Well Built, Good Seals, Super for Hawaii or any other Warm Waters. A+++++ - Dont get a shortie. Get this jumpsuit. It was very stretchy, you forget you have it on. Easy to put on and the usual slight difficulty peeling it off when wet. Dries in a few hours. The comfort of this suit is fantastic. It is well stitched and showed very little sign of wear after two weeks snorkeling in Maui. The collar seals well and is comfortable. I had a small loose "pocket" in the suit at the base of my back but it never bothered me at all once I was swimming, never got a cold rush at all. Water in Maui is colder than in the Caribbean. Dont imagine that a t-shirt is sufficient if you want to do REAL snorkeling. It is also very bouyant, you can just float and watch fish or turtles... View Full Review

| H2O 3/2mm Junior Fullsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Mike Jensen on 4/15/2007
Great value, great price. - I bought this for my wife who is a fanatic about snorkeling. She is about 5 ft tall but long arms and legs and weighs about 128 lbs. The size chart showed an Xlarge (16)for a 54" to 57" and between 120 to 135 lbs. was the size we needed. I kept my fingers crossed when I ordered because she has problems with fit with junior sizes in regular clothing. The comments about the great customer service by other reviewers made be feel more comfortable with my decision. When the package arrived, instructions included advised that wet suits fit snug so my wife wasnt overly concerned with the "stuffed sausage" feeling when we zipped up the suit. The neck was a little tight with the zipper all... View Full Review

| ONeill 1mm 1000x Thinskin Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Tetsuro Hoshino on 6/25/2007
Good Quality, Fit, and Style - This wetsuit does an excellent job of keeping you comfortable and safe from the sun. Excellent fit and durability. Easy to both get into and out of. Great for warmer waters where a 3/2mm or 2mm is just too much. This suit also fits well under J-Type dive suits for use as a underlayer in colder conditions. Nice colors too!

| Aqua Lung Sport. 3mm Quantum Stretch Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Scott Steber on 7/26/2008
Great fit, great construction... - I absolutely love the material of this suit. The stretchy neoprene makes it SO much easier to get the suit on. People often criticize these non-traditional materials as being inferior thermal insulators... but in a 3mm suit, is this really a main concern? Chances are you are diving in 75-80+ degree water and you really are only wearing the suit for exposure protection.
That being said, as far as 3mm suits go...this suit is pretty warm. There is very little water exchange through the neck/wrists/ankles. The back zipper seal seams to work great, and the ankle/wrist seals are a great feature. They definitely keep water in/out. Every time I got out of the water, onto the boat, I had... View Full Review

| Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Shorty Reviews
Reviewer: Lisa M. A. on 2/17/2009
Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Shorty serves more bounce to the ounce! - Fact is, Im a big woman. Im into the range of the specialty sizes listed on manufacturers like Henderson - and some dont even list them at all.
So when Im faced with the possiblity of special orders and custom made items with exorbitant costs, I turn to scuba.com and start trolling the closeouts and clearance for larger mens sizes.
This time I was preparing for a dive in tropical weather, and wanted my OWN shorty instead of the ragged scraps often served by dive shops in the area.
I found this item among a number of others - it was a out of the box demo, so I took a risk (my risk taking with scuba.com is often VERY rewarding) and got it.
Once arrived, the thing was pure magic. ... View Full Review

| Henderson 0.5mm Microprene Front Zip Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Tom Dolbec on 5/6/2007
Super dive skin - I got this as a replacement for the unisex henderson solely for snorkling. This suit was better fitting and more comfortable. It allows freedom of movement with no restictive ares. It had better room for the bust, hips and rear. In the cayman sun, it gave excellent sun protection and was not too hot when on the beach. There is a small amount of flotation that it provides, but is only an issue when trying to stay down on free diving. I found the neck to be comfortable and non restictive.

| Akona 1mm Jumpsuit. Reviews
Reviewer: Wendy C. on 12/11/2008
Great wetsuit! - I dived with this wetsuit on a liveaboard in St. Croix in December. I only got chilled on two of my dives the whole week, and some people were using 5mm suits. The Akona is very flexible, easy to don, and still allows room for comfortable movements. I really like the fact that there is no strap to put around your foot like other lightweight wetsuits (I also have a 1mm Henderson with this). I find that the strap makes it mandatory to have the leg fit inside your dive bootie, and you end up sloshing around in water-filled booties. Alternatively, this Akona lets you put the leg on the outside of the bootie so that the water drains. I also had comments from the other divers that the... View Full Review

| Henderson 3mm Thermoprene Front Zip Shorty Reviews
Reviewer: Vahe Petrossian on 9/20/2009
Easy access and comfortable - i found the front entry zip access convenient. the thermoprene is a good combination of flexibility and warmth. i own the henderson 5mm hyperstretch too and the comfort between the 3mm thermoprene and the 5mm hyperstretch are on par. i bought the shorty for snorkeling and swimming in hawaii. i typically go to the windward side like kailua beach and usually during the winter months, so a shorty with some thermal protection will be great. in the past i used rash guards only, but with the wind, a wet rash guard gets very cold.
overall henderson is a great brand for wetsuits. you cant go wrong with them. they are also one of the few brands with a good line of kids wetsuits too.

| Henderson 0.5mm Microprene Backzip Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Lori Riesenberg on 9/3/2009
Excellent warm water suit - I just did 11 dives in Cozumel with this 1/2mm suit. It was perfect for the warm water and for protection from stuff down there. It has pretty heavy duty knee pads, unlike other thin suits. It is also cut for a woman! The sizing is exactly right, so follow the chart on this one as far as dress size, not the weights/heights. Surprisingly, the body of this fit me pretty well, and I am tall and have a very long body. If you are short waisted, it may be too long, or it just wont have to stretch as much.
Every night I rinsed it out in the hotel room and hung it to dry, and it was perfect in the morning. Doesnt take up a lot of space in the suitcase.
My son and husband have the... View Full Review

| Pinnacle 3mm Seal Merino Titanium Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Roger Barlow on 8/9/2009
Best wet suit Ive ever had - Ive owned about 6 wet suits of various weights and manufacturers and have been "OK" with most of them. I used this suit this weekend in water temps down to about 65F. Noticeably warmer than my old 3mm. Much easier to get on and off. Im 5-11 and 195 pounds. I bought the XL and found it fits comfortably. Sleeves and legs are about an inch or more longer than necessary, but that leaves more room for flex - worked well and covered boot tops and went well under gloves. The only problems I noticed were the thick spine pad takes getting used to - especially hard while riding in boat - not too noticable in the water. The other problem is the velcro that holds the leash to the thumb loop... View Full Review

| Body Glove 0.5mm Bali Diver Jumpsuit Reviews
Reviewer: Jean L. on 12/9/2008
Body Glove wet suit - 1mm - Nice suit, light enough for Tropical diving but also works great under a 7mm suit for colder diving. I live in the northern climates so it works good as additional protection and makes it easier to get the 7mm suit on. I was recently certified for open water diving and the water was very cold here in September and October - wish I had this suit then. I did one other dive after certification, before I left for vacation and this suit made a big difference, especailly since the rental suits were old and ill fitting. On vacation this suit was easy to get on and off and also worked good when snorkeling. The suit came in as a 12 or extra large - I do not normally wear a 12 but something... View Full Review

| Innovative Float Suit. Reviews
Reviewer: William Glass on 7/9/2008
not good for short children - I thought that this product would be good for my 3 year old daughter to help her stay boyant in the pool that we attend which is a 1 to 4 foot deep pool. Umfortunately, this suit caused her to bob out to deeper water where she would become boyant. Once she got beyond where she could reach the bottom with her feet she could not maintain an upward floating posture but was instead floated horizontally. As she wiggled to right herself she would roll from her front to her back in the water at times putting her face down. I believe this suit might be great to help those who know how to swim but have limited strength, but it is not safe at all for children who have no swiming abilities. I... View Full Review

| Pinnacle 3mm Spirit Titanium Shorty Reviews
Reviewer: Michael S. on 11/14/2008
Pinnacle 3mm Spirit Titanium Shorty - I am very satisfied with this wetsuit, and even more satisfied with the service at Scuba.com. I needed the suit for kayaking, and since I am an unusual size I was concerned with buying the suit online sight unseen. I emailed the fine folks at Scube.com though and explained my issues, and they responded quickly and with the information I needed. I then felt confident to order the suit they recommended, and it fit like a glove. I have used the suit quite a few times since then, and it has continued to fit well, the zipper works fine, and so far no wear is evident. I did manage to get it covered in nasty smelly river bank mud, and it washed off easily with a hose, leaving no stains behind. I... View Full Review

| Mares 2.5mm Tropic Shorty. Reviews
Reviewer: Robert DiPadova Jr on 8/8/2009
Great Suit - I purchased this suit to be used for going in the water at Marathas Vineyard. The suit was great offering the warmth and flexibility. One thing to note is the sizing. I was not sure what size to get but a quick phone call to a SCUBA instructor gave me all of the information I needed. They said that Mares sizes fall on the smaller side of their sizing chart. I fell in the middle of the L size chart. After telling him all of my size information he recommended going with the XL. This was some great advice as the XL fit like a wet suit is supposed to. If I had gone with the L it would have been way to tight. So make sure to order a size up or if you are in doubt a quick call to a SCUBA... View Full Review
