Reviewer: zong-guang s h.Great active sport suit. - Similar in function to the Lavacore Oceanic Trilaminate Polytherm I also tried out, but this has wool in it in. Makes a difference? I cant really tell, but its in there. The biggest difference is that theres no zipper in the front or back. The only zipper is behind the neck for attaching the optional hood or neck collar. (Mine came with the neck collar) This suit is like a giant balloon, and you climb in though the neck! This is a much stretchy than the Lavacore and fits better. After you stick your legs in, the arms go in and finally, the suit wraps around the shoulders for a complete burrito wrap feeling. Very inventive. Works well and at 75+F can probably last for hours in the...View Full Review
Reviewer: John K.Aqua Lung 3mm HydroFlex wetsuit in Mexico - Just returned from Mexico after a two week dive trip that included Mayan Riviera, Cozumel and Cenotes. I used my new Aqua Lung 3mm HydroFlex wetsuit for all dives. Overall, this 3mm wetsuit performed flawlessly and kept me warm even in the fresh water Cenotes where most divers use 5mm or 7mm suits. I was impressed by the fact that a brand new wetsuit did not affect inherent buoyancy much at all. I expected to add a few pounds of weight as new suits are generally more buoyant, but I was able to dive with 10 lbs of integrated weights in my Axiom BCD. The wetsuit seems to run a bit small in size. I am a normal built male 5 6" tall weighing 145 lbs and the Medium/Large size fit me perfectly....View Full Review
Reviewer: Larry C.A Great Suit! - I dive on a near daily basis for work, and have found the Waterproof line of wetsuits to be my favorite. Three of the 4 wetsuits that I own and use are Waterproofs (W4: 7mm, 5mm, & W3 3.5mm). These suits are very warm, well built/durable, and very easy to don and duff. I generally dive in high silt, zero viz water, and have not found the zippers to be a problem, but I do religiously wash the suit (and everything else) after each days dive. One trick on the neoprene wrist and leg seals, is to fold the very ends over against the skin (topside goes against the skin), this creates a very effective seal. The fit is excellent, but be sure to use the Waterproof measurement chart. I am 60, 175...View Full Review
Reviewer: James H.My first wetsuit! - Ordered this suit to learn scuba. So far Ive used it in 4 pool lessons, so my review is based on only this. Pros: The suit is extremely easy to get on due to the zippers. I was nervous the zippers would be uncomfortable since the suit is tight, but the sharkskin lining around the cuffs (ankle and wrist) make them very comfortable. Im able to put my wetsuit on standing up, while all others struggle! I love the feel of the neoprene which is extremely flexible. Im easily able to move effortlessly in and out of the water. The fit is great, for the most part. Cons: The neck collar design seems to have a small flaw. Im not sure if its normal, since Im a newb, but a small amount of water...View Full Review
Reviewer: Rainer S.Pinnacle 3mm Cruiser Titanium Mens Wetsuit Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - I choose this wetsuit because it is one of the few 3mm that come in tall and slim sizes. I chose the large tall size and Im 1.98m or 65 with 85kg. It fits perfectly, tight like a second skin to prevent water flow but still comfortable and not restricting body movements. I bought it in an open box like new offer from scuba.com. I will use it mainly for scuba diving in tropical water in Asia but it was also great for surfing in Australia with 22 degree Celsius last week. Excellent value for money and fully recommended.
Reviewer: bill k.Neosport by Henderson 2.5mm XSPAN Mens Sport Wetsuit Vest Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - i have a 39" waist so i ordered a medium. way too tight. i could get it zipped but barely. returned it an got a large. after trying it on several times, i have decided to return it and go for an xl. me, a 39 chest, 66 years old, an xl? i am using this for fishing in the surf. if i was snorkeling perhaps the large would workmaybe. these run really small but exactly what i was looking for...if i can just get the size right. scuba.com has been very helpful.
Reviewer: bill k.Perfect shorts - i wanted these for fishingwading in shoreline water in hawaii during the winter. i ordered a large which was perfect. typically i am a medium at a 33 waist, but medium would have been too small for this use. medium would have been good for snorkeling but even then, maybe to snug, i really like the shorts though. wish there was a key pocket but there is a waist string which works second best.
Reviewer: Karl Q.Henderson 3mm Aqua Lock Hyperstretch Mens Wetsuit Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - Very easy to get on and off. Fit at first seems perfect but after a few dives seemed to be loose, folds noted on the wetsuit. It kept me very warm however in the 80 degree water. The velcro on the neck tab is very strong and quick trashes the internal pile lining. Zipper seems high quality and seams seem well sealed. Will have go see how it lasts, but for comfort I would get it again
Reviewer: R P.Lavacore Experience - I recently purchased a LavaCore wetsuit, based solely on what I had read, for my trip to Thailand. I was not disappointed! It performed very well under the demanding conditions of a live-aboard. It kept me warm and dried quickly in between dives on a wet dive deck with only a sea breeze. We were doing 4 dives per day including night dives and dawn dives. It was lightweight to pack and cushioned my other gear during the 30+ hours of transit through 5 different airports and 3 different countries on 4 different airplanes. My only "negative comment" was that it fit so well, I had some difficulty taking it off in between dives without assistance, on the front zip model. I am looking...View Full Review
Reviewer: Ted HightFit is pretty good! - I bought this for my wife whos 51 and 98 lbs. Ive already returned a couple other wetsuits we tried when their manufacturing size chart said it should have fit her but didnt. Very happy this one actually does. Its maybe an inch too long but well take it. Havent used it diving yet but it appears to be a high quality suit and shes very comfortable in it. It was easy for her to get in and out of and fit with the right level of snugness without being uncomfortable
Reviewer: Gene DixonNeosport by Henderson 2.5mm Sport Womens Wetsuit Vest Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - I wear a size 10-11 and have a mid-section so i had to return the 10 and order a size up. Wow, did this vest ever slim me! Not only did it fit and feel great but I also loved the fact that it doesnt ride up the arm pits or choke the throat. You can also leave a couple inches unzipped and still have the inner zipper lining keeping you protected from the wind. I cant wait to pair this with my 1.5mm Neosport pants.
Reviewer: michelle oflynnScubaPro 0.5mm Profile Steamer Wetsuit for 2014 Review - $131.00 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - The ScubaPro 0.5 mm Profile Steamer wetsuit is a perfect addition for divers in warm water climates. It weighs little in that precious baggage limit and take little space. I prefer this to a rashie or a shortie wetsuit for protection from marine stings and the odd bump or scrape in tight swim throughs when there is a bit of current. It fits like a glove but for me there is a weirdness with the seam that runs around the upper arm that is not evident anywhere else on the suit. However, once wet it presented no restriction to movement or comfort. I am 56" tall so did not use the thumb stirrups at all but I did use the stirrups under the feet before donning my booties. I am not sure if...View Full Review
Reviewer: Elizabeth McCommonsMust have these pants, MULTI purspose - Super comfy, easy to get on and they do the job. We live in Pacific Northwest. When we kyak, even on a warm day, my legs get some splash up, that usually feels great until afternoon winds pick up. We hang out on a small lake until dusk while my son fishes. My last hour I am usually too chilly too really enjoy the most peaceful time of day on water. Not anymore, these pants are so comfy, I will buy 2 more pairs to wear on cold days around my house and even skiing under clothes. You must try a pair. Fit was perfect, x large would fit 160 to 190 if average height.
Reviewer: Rhonda NicholsonWaterproof 3.5mm W3 Womens Wetsuit Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - Multiple sizes ensure excellent fit. Easy on and off as the lining doesnt stick. Everyone on my dive boat wanted to hear about them. The seat, knees and elbows have extra rubber grippers which make sure they dont snag on a rough surface. Took these to the Caymans and Saba in Feb and was quite warm.
Reviewer: Mary Ann B.Mens Henderson Wetsuit 3mm - The wetsuit fit my husband well. He is 64" and 300 lbs. His chest measurement is 55". The 6X fit well across his chest and torso but was a little long and big in the legs, but still worked well diving in 70 degree water on Great Barrier Reef. The suit had a lot of stretch so easy to put on. Only problem was the fleece type lining black dye keep turning his arms and legs black. Even after 5 days of diving suit continued to bleed black dye onto him which was very hard to scrub off.
Reviewer: Sergei GrichineExcellent light wetsuit, stretchy material, good fit. - Excellent light wetsuit - I used it in Cozumel in December, was right for the 80F waters. Quality workmanship. The material is very stretchy and strong, easy to get in and out. I had it one size smaller than the chart suggested, still nice fit. A little tight in the neck area, for my body shape - not a problem in the water though. I also use Ocean Quest 5mm wetsuit and it serves me well.
Reviewer: Robert R.Nice suit - I was planning a dive trip to the Caribbean and thought my 3 mm suit would be too heavy. So I ordered a dive skin. However when I received it, it did not have flat lock stitching and was very uncomfortable. Seeking a substitute, I ordered the Mares Coral 1mm suit. This is a great suit. It provides some thermal protection and is well made. It dries quickly and sizing runs true.
Reviewer: Allen D.Bare 3mm Velocity Super-Stretch Wetsuit Review - $249.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews - Recently decided to go diving at the Devils Den and Blue Grotto is Florida again. Given that most of my diving is in the warmer waters of the Caribbean I needed a new wetsuit. Im 245 lbs. / 58" go I needed to find a suit that was big in the waist but not to long. I found that with the Bare 3mm Velocity super stretch suit. The fit and feel of the suit is very comfortable. With the 2XL / short I had the room for my middle without the excess length in the legs. After 2 days of diving in the springs, Ive got to say this was a great buy. Comfort, warmth, and durable. Scuba pro did great with with an out of the box item, had I not ordered it myself I would never have know it.
Reviewer: Christopher WarrenBare 1mm Sport Thermalskin Mens Wetsuit Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - The suit ad to ensure back ordered however it arrived earlier than expected The suit fit perfect. The Bare logo was very professional. I used the suit this past weekend and it worked perfectly. It kept me warm and toasty. The product was excellent.
Reviewer: Stephen UlrichMares 2.5mm Reef Wetsuit Review - Scuba Gear Reviews - Bought this wetsuit for a trip to the Bahamas. Kept me warm through two whole days of diving at 105 feet. Would highly Recommend this to anyone who dives warm water.
