XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Diving Beanie Reviews

Warmth while Scuba Diving - The XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie was a good choice. The reasons for this buy were to obtain warmth and comfort while diving. The size was perfect and the use was correct. While diving, whether in a thermaclyne or in freshwater springs, it does get cold. Being that you loose most of your body heat through your head, besides your torso, this helped keep your warmth and did not effect the dive in a negative way. I would recommend the Scuba Beanie as an added item to your dive gear, even with a hood attachement to a vest. The beanie is a good choice for gear.

My bald head will never be the same!! - As I am hair folically challanged obviously when I am enjoying the deep dark depths of the tropics my noggin can get a bit chilled. Small enough to fit inside one of my BCD pockets all I have to do is put it on and my brain returns from the ice age! Great substitute for a cumbersome hood!

Does what it should - The reason for me getting this product was to dive in waters to cold for 3mm suit. I have used it several times and has kept me very warm. For me, I am as warm with a 3mm and this vest as I would be with a 7mm. The vest fits well. It covers everything that I wanted it to. The hood has some small holes in it for water flow. The I am not sure if there is any real titanium in it or not but it works for me. I would recommend it to others.

Great product! - I purchased this hood to take with me on my recent trip (08-22-08) to the Galapagos to use when we snorkeled. The hood did the job by keeping my head dry and warm while I snorkeled. I love this hood. I also purchased a pair of socks that also worked perfectly. I now want to buy gloves for my hands and a full body suit. Btw-snorkeling around the Galapagos islands was amazing. Our favorite was snorkeling with penguins, sea lions, rays, blue footed boobies and an abundance of fish around Pinnacle Rock!

Great hood! - This hood fits on easily and tucks into my wetsuit quickly without a bunch of fuss. It creates some drag compared to other models but I used it to snorkel and free dive so if you just scuba with it, plenty of other items will cause enough drag that you dont notice this. My head stays warm in 68 degrees for over an hour and I feel like this hood makes ear pressure adjustement softer and easier. It keeps my head warm enough that I no longer have the problem where after 40 minutes my sinuses are just done diving. I always felt cheated by that since the rest of me wanted to dive for 20 more minutes at least. This hood solved that. There are sleaker ones out there with a better fit and smoother... Great diving hood. - recently i went diving without a hood in 55 degree water i was cold and freezing the entire time. so i finally decided to buy a hood. so i started searching around and came across the pinnacle titanium standard diving hood. as i read more about it, it seemed perfect for what i wanted. after purchasing the hood, and went and tried it out in a local quarry. the hood performed flawlessly. its easy to put on and take off. it has the cut-away around you face to customize it individually. it has the holes at the top to allow water to escape. and most importantly, it keep my head surprisingly warm in the very cold water. definitely worth every cent and highly recommend it.

Good light duty hood - I dive in the minnsoat where the watre is pretty cool in the fall. THis hood worked well in september and most of october but I suspect I will need to upgrade to a full 7mm soon. It is a good light duty hood where the water is 45 to 60 degrees.

Dive Beanie a Must - My wife continually complained about her hair getting under her mask and or hanging over it as she was diving. It wasnt until we dove in 7mm wet suits and hoods to dive in water temperatures of 45 degree F, that she realized the hood helped contol her issues with her hair. I saw beanie in one of your emails in January, bought one and had her try it on our most recent trip to Mexico. It worked very well, instead of the complaints about the hair in her face and mask, I heard more about the awesome diving we did. Im going to buy her another one because the size small I bought her was slightly big.
