My bald head will never be the same!! - As I am hair folically challanged obviously when I am enjoying the deep dark depths of the tropics my noggin can get a bit chilled. Small enough to fit inside one of my BCD pockets all I have to do is put it on and my brain returns from the ice age! Great substitute for a cumbersome hood!

Warmth while Scuba Diving - The XS Scuba 2mm Titanium Beanie was a good choice. The reasons for this buy were to obtain warmth and comfort while diving. The size was perfect and the use was correct. While diving, whether in a thermaclyne or in freshwater springs, it does get cold. Being that you loose most of your body heat through your head, besides your torso, this helped keep your warmth and did not effect the dive in a negative way. I would recommend the Scuba Beanie as an added item to your dive gear, even with a hood attachement to a vest. The beanie is a good choice for gear.

Cheap Insurance - i bought this beanie for a january trip to cozumel where a little extra warmth can be nice just in case the sun isnt blazing between dives. as it turned out i wore it for all dives (in addition to my 3 mm suit) because... i just like to be warm. a few times on the trip back to the dock i fastened the side flaps up and continued to wear it like...a beanie. being from northern michigan (land of the dry suit) i really appreciate efficient ways to keep warm and comfortable in and out of the water and if you try to tough your way through getting cold you will lose. and we all know how much heat is lost from the head, right? so buy this beanie and stick in in your bag. btw, its comfy and... Good light duty hood - I dive in the minnsoat where the watre is pretty cool in the fall. THis hood worked well in september and most of october but I suspect I will need to upgrade to a full 7mm soon. It is a good light duty hood where the water is 45 to 60 degrees.

Great Vest, Neck a Little Snug - This is a great vest for adding warmth under a wetsuit. I wore this under a 6.5 semidry and it definitely helped keep water out of the neck seal and kept my torso super warm in the 55 degree water. The merino lining is great and the quality is definitely good. While this product certainly fit me properly (Im 5 8" 154 lbs, I bought a ML), I did notice that the neck of the hood was a little snug which was great as a seal, but a little hard on my circulation. Id still recommend it though.

Great hood! - This hood fits on easily and tucks into my wetsuit quickly without a bunch of fuss. It creates some drag compared to other models but I used it to snorkel and free dive so if you just scuba with it, plenty of other items will cause enough drag that you dont notice this. My head stays warm in 68 degrees for over an hour and I feel like this hood makes ear pressure adjustement softer and easier. It keeps my head warm enough that I no longer have the problem where after 40 minutes my sinuses are just done diving. I always felt cheated by that since the rest of me wanted to dive for 20 more minutes at least. This hood solved that. There are sleaker ones out there with a better fit and smoother... Great Hood!! - The Aqua Lock gives you peace of mind about haveing a full range of motion while underawater. I was a little dissapointed when I turned left or right the hood would pull out a little. But, after seeing other divers hoods coming outin the back and mine would just bunch up a little while trying to come out...I was impressed. Very warm as well and I never noticed the 53 degree water I was diving in. I would like for Henderson to make the rubber "aqua lock" a lot bigger o wider so it would grip more for those of us who are more active underwater so when we turn our head you know it is not moving at all. Definitely reccommend this hoodie to everyone.

Great diving hood. - recently i went diving without a hood in 55 degree water i was cold and freezing the entire time. so i finally decided to buy a hood. so i started searching around and came across the pinnacle titanium standard diving hood. as i read more about it, it seemed perfect for what i wanted. after purchasing the hood, and went and tried it out in a local quarry. the hood performed flawlessly. its easy to put on and take off. it has the cut-away around you face to customize it individually. it has the holes at the top to allow water to escape. and most importantly, it keep my head surprisingly warm in the very cold water. definitely worth every cent and highly recommend it.

Good for swimming and cold weather kayaking - Most regular swim caps tear my hair out and dont keep water from coming in. I finally started using this Henderson 0.5mm Microprene 2 Tropic Diving Cap and it is gentle on my hair. My hair does get wet, but it got wet using the usual swim caps too. I swim at my local Florida YMCA in the evening to avoid sunburn and this cap keeps my head warm. It has withstood several months of pool water without changing form or disintegrating like some other neoprene caps Ive used. Also a good cap to have for cool temps when kayaking. Chin strap keeps it on your head.

Warm, Comfy, and Easy On and Off - A repeat Henderson buyer, I expected the 5/3 ml hooded vest to be good and its great. Diving in 75 degree water, Im wearing it under my full 3 ml suit. Before the first dive, Ive been getting funny looks and silly questions. Before the second dive, everyone wants to know where to get one. This product is tough, good looking, easy to get on and off, flexible (wear it hood on or pushed back). It has a permanent spot in my dive bag.

Great head protection for the price. - id put off purchasing a head cover for my warm-water diving, but after several dives when my flowing hair interfered, i bit the bullet and bought this beanie. its very comfortable, and the medium size fits my rather large (for a woman) head just fine! the only drawback ive found so far is that the velcro closure is a little difficult to adjust (but then all velcro is the same way). im with the other reviewers who like this because you dont feel restricted or choked im very sensitive to things that go around my neck (dont even wear turtlenecks in the winter any more), and this doesnt bother me at all.

Ocean Quest 7mm titanium hood - I recently decided to go back to the COLD California coast, and as such purchased a wet suit through Scuba.com. Along with the suit, I needed a hood. This hood was very reasonable in price, and I find it kept me very warm in the 52 degree water off San Pedro. The only recommendation is to cut a small diameter hole in the back/top of it to allow air to vent. The hood does not come with one, lime many others. Otherwise, great buy.
