great versatile dive computer! - this is a great computer: small, light-weight, palm-sized profile but with large easy to read display. i received it fedex the day i left for a dive trip and had to read the manual on the airplane no problem! simple to understand basic functions and menus. i ordered the quick-connect option which is not only handy for downloading to laptop, but also for stashing the computer in a carry-on bag. the downside is that the quick-connect is sold only with the compass i like to dive with my computer tucked in my bc and didnt want the extra bulk of the compass. fortunately our dive shop guy was able to remove the compass fairly easily (dont try it yourself unless you have special tools!) the... Ill never shop for SCUBA gear anywhere Else! - In todays corporate/business world honesty and integrity are sought after. Well in SCUBA.com I have found it and I need not look any further. I know I do not have to shop around for a better price. My local dive shop here in Central FL gave me the best price I thought I would ever get, especially trying to beat their price through research on the i-net. I had completed my research and somehow stumbled across SCUBA.com web site and boy am I glad I did. They were $163.00 lower then the dive shop. Doesnt get any better... - I purchased this Oceanic Datamax Pro Plus 2 Air/Nitrox Integrated Computer because my boyfriend has one and he highly recommended his...
Best choice I made... I wear reading glasses and this computer gives me the font size I can read without glasses, an important featured I might add...
Also we can now download our data onto the same program so that too is a plus...
Everyone we meet diving feels it is a top of the line, cant go wrong product...get one now!!!

Best "Average Joe" Nitrox Computer - If you are the kind of NITROX diver that wants to enjoy your dives to the max, and hates messing with all your gear before, during, and after..... this computer is for you! I work in a very high tech environment everyday, and have owned 3 dive computers before this one. If you are just going to dive air, they all are fairly easy to use just leave on default settings, but switch to NITROX and most of these are way more computer than what most sport divers need or want and almost impossible to program and reset for each dive. Veo 250 - I love it so far. It has taken me a while to become familiar with the basics. It is my first computer. I dont use half the features yet. I wish there was a way to shut it off and save on battery life. Its nice and small but I can still read it easily. If you vision issues, go with something larger.
