Reviewer: Richard L.Faber 149 - Too big? That was my only concern on purchase, as we all want more air. This is a big tank for sure, but externally, just slightly larger than a 120. It weighs in at roughly 62 lbs when full (versus 40 for an AL80), but obviously reduces weights needed. Im 63" and 180lbs, fit, but not super muscular - Im normal and the tank has been no issue. Even carried it up and down the stairs at Crescent Bay in Laguna, not an issue and it felt little different from carrying my old AL80. Same for boat dives, no issues getting up the ladder and into the boat. And the air capacity is incredible. Worth the investment, my safety comes first and the amount of air here means Im not dependent on this or that...View Full Review
Reviewer: Roy B. MooreSteel 50 Deco tank. - As a tech diver I use several diffrent deco gas bottles. Until now I have always used aluminum tanks for deco. I bought this 50 cf steel tank for my most used deco gas. I bought the 50 cf tank to have more reserve gas in case I had a problem and needed longer deco time. Usually a 40 cf aluminum would have be the norm. I have used the 50 steel and 40 aluminum together for long dives. This steel tank has many advances that I didnt have with the 40 aluminum. I use less weight, and when almost empty it is still negative. Plus I have 10 cf more gas. When I buy another deco tank, it will be this bottle again.
Reviewer: Carl KingGreat Cylinders, use on sidemount - I purchased 2 of these for my sidemount system and they are working great. As usual, Scuba.com worked with me for a great price, could not find anything close anywhere. I checked out several different online and local shops, not even close, saved a lot and service was great. These cyls are my primary and do the job. I was a little afraid they would rise but they were fine.
Reviewer: kennth p.Item doesnt match the picture shown - great tank, but the tank does not match the picture shown. picture shown looks like xs scuba tank and nothing like faber tank. happy with the tank, but images need to be d.
Reviewer: Shane B.Faber HP 80 Steel Cylinder - The product received as described. I have used the product in the Pacific Northwest and it performs as expected. I would recommend this product for purchase from Scuba.com.
Reviewer: Scott MichaelGreat tank - I stepped up from an 80 cf aluminum tank. Not only do I have a lot more air, but I find that Im not having the excess buoyancy problems at the end of the dive. You will have to reposition where the tank hangs on your BCD and shed a considerable amount of lead.
Reviewer: Dennis L.Perfect - this is my first steel tank, its awesome, was able to a few pounds in lead. the tank itself arrived from scuba.com very fast without a scratch on it and a vis sticker that my dive shop honored and didnt try to rope me into other fees to get the first fill. i think im going to love this tank!
Reviewer: Larry Mccutcheonfaber cylinder - The cylinder is as represented, very happy.
