It saved my certification - I would not have got certified as an open water diver without this new facemask. I have a deviated septum and could not clear a regular mask, underwater, under pressure. This mask lets me clear it with just my mouth or the purge on the regulator. I dove this mask just recently in Maui, HI. to 100 and it performed just perfect. It is comfortable and super easy to see out of. I would recommend this mask to anyone! Thanks for a great product!

Awesome - Im a member of a Dive Team, we used the Communication units on a drowning recovery. The Units worked perfectly, we used them along with our surface unit to guide he divers through low vis conditions.

oceanreef surface air valve - Being user of the surface valve,I think that I did escape one of the most common problems while surfacing.Usually managing easily octopus or regulators are not applicable for this kind of hi-end equipment.
Because of the construction,and the purpose of the full face mask, take some time to be fine adjusted,
using the valve I can spare some air while preparing for diving,as well as surfacing,
It so easy to use -while you are not under water -just turn it on,and you can freely breath air without removing the mask as well as any of your other equipment
I would suggest adding this additional device

| Ocean Reef Neptune Space Full Face Mask with 2nd Stage Reviews

An Overall Great Mask - I mainly dive off of boats and this mask exceeded my expectations, great field of view, no fogging, no jaw fatigue, easy adjustments, and easy breathing.
However, not so great a mask for beach dives. Breathing using the surface air valve while surface swimming was a little labored and got me short of breath. It also fogs up quite a bit but does clear instantly once you close the valve and breath thru the regulator.
Ive ordered an Nira Male Quick Connector, sku 028055, to put on my ScubaPro G250 2nd stage so I can easily switch to it for beach dives than back to the Neptune for boat dives.
Im looking forward to more boat dives!

Dont Leave Home Without This - I highly recommend the quick disconnect adapter when purchasing the Neptune Space FFM. It allows you to remove your mask from the rest of your kit between dives so it wont be damaged by some careless diver on the boat next to you. It will also save your LP hose from unnecessary weight hanging on it.

Without a doubt worth the money..
the most comfortable mask ive worn, and that goes for diving and even SCBA masks in my fire department.
the equilizing with there 3d system takes a little to get used to, and its a little hairy to adjust the 3d system but once its set up, it works great..

OTS Mantis FFM Surface Breathing Valve - Pros: A must if you wish to breath on the surface without using tank-air. Easy to install, find on the surface, and use (screw/unscrew). Of the two designs of which Im familiar, the scalloped edge with rectangular breathing holes seems to be easier to use/breath from (when compared to the knurled edge/circular breathing hole variety).
Cons: Cost is very high (~$150). If installing a com unit in the left port and SBV in the right port, access to the SBV could be limited by the regulator (or at least made a little more difficult).

Oceanreef Nira Male Quick Connector - since the oceanreef full face mask has a specialized connector hose with quick disconnect, i choose to put a male quick connector on a spare (hoseless)octo which i carry in a bc pocket with a frameless sport mask.
in the rare event of a mask malfunction, i simply switch to my delta 4 regulator which has been functioning as my secondary, then snap the "quick connect" octo onto the specialized hose and complete the dive with both a primary regulator and octo.
i also have a clip on my bc for the ff mask so i dont it in the ocean during the emergency.

| Ocean Reef Polar Mesh Strap Reviews

Ocean Reef Strap - The existing strap that came with the Ocean Reef FFM was too small when I used it with a 7mm hood. I used the new strap over the weekend and it is great. The strap held firm and did not stretch like the OEM strap.
Great strap.
