Rating: Power and reliability

This is our first Sea-Doo Seascooter purchase. We have been using cheap knock offs for about 6 years but they are always finicky and problem proned. We are very pleased so far with our Sea-Doo. The battery lasts much longer and the power is great! We like the sleek design and the thumb buttons are very easy to hold down for long periods. The ability to see how much juice the battery has left is a great feature. That way we can gauge when we need to head back to the boat. Even though this product is 4X the price of the cheap ones, its absolutely worth it! We will all be fighting over who gets to use the Sea-Doo now.

  • ken:

does it float and can it be used on the surface of the water

  • Robert:

I am looking to purchase a scooter to dig for artifacts, and moving sand in shallow waters. What can you recommend? Thanks

    Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

This scooter would be great for that!

  • Dave:

Are these 2016 models? Any discount if I buy 3? Is this a sale price or permanent price? What is warranty? Regarding battery life, the will be heavily used over summer. Resting the rest of the year.. Should they be stored drained? How long is the battery life in years? Sorry for all Qs.

    Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

yes this is the 2016 model. This is the current sale price. it has a 1 year warranty and because it is a lithium battery it doesn''t have to be drained for storage.

  • warren:

just received my new RS2 seadoo scooter, just out of the box what is the lubricant for, apart from charging and putting the cover back on is there anything i need to do before putting it in the water

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The grease is used on the o-ring that seals the battery compartment. Make sure it is clean and greased before using the scooter in the water.

  • warren:

I received a manual pump in the package with my new RS2 scooter what is this for as it is not written in the manual, also the 2 large rubber bands they are used to remove the battery from the housing ? just wanna be sure before putting the machine in the water, Thanks

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The pump is used to pressurize the battery compartment to be able to remove it after it has been under pressure. The bands can be used for remove of the battery.

  • David:

Does RS2 come with charger? Does it come with instructional video Im a first time user.

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello David, yes this unit does come with it's own charger. We currently do not have and instructor video's on these products. You would need to contact the manufacture directly.

  • Doug:

Can you purchase the RS-2 with the RS-1 battery pack instead of RS-2 pack? Is the construction quality of the RS-2 and 1 identical?

    Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

    yes to both questions.

  • Emmett:

    Is this item in stock

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Emmett, yes we currently have one in-stock. If you are looking for more than one I would have the other ones in-stock on 9/14/2015.

  • Ariel:

    1. I plan to purchase the RS2 seascooter but I will use it for diving in the Philippines. Since I plan to have it have it hand carried by a friend or relative returning to the Philippines, will there be no sales tax on my purchase of this item? 2. When I am not using the seascooter while diving or during my descent, I am wondering if there is a way that I can put or attach a harness so that i can sling it on my right or left shoulder? 3. Is it necessary that I should also buy a spare or replacement battery when I usually only make 2 or 3 dives in a day when I am diving? 4. Is it possible you can give me an additional discount on your $772.95 price on the RS2 since I am a retired senior citizen and perhaps I will be able to advertise your product in our diving community or dive group. Thank you.

    Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Prices shown on are the lowest prices allowed by the manufacturers for an authorized retailer. We do not know of any sling or anything of the sort for carrying during a dive.

  • Steve:

I plan on using this unit or a similar unit for nothing but snorkeling in the Bahamas. There will both Teenagers and Adult using these. Is this the right unit for my needs and will this unit sink away on a using if they let go by accident or in experience. I llike the longer battery life and light weight. Plan on buying 2 or 3 for my boat and need advice on getting the correct model

    Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The RS2 is neutrally buoyant, so it won''t sink if somebody accidentally lets go. The battery life is fairly average as scooters go, but being a liIon battery they recharge better than the older lead acid batteries of previous models. This unit would be a very good choice for your uses.

  • Big:

Hey, does this come in different colors?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello, no this does not come in different colors.
