Do they have a flashlight mount on this so I can record underwater (with my GoPro) and you can see it?
Hello Vincent, they do not have a mount for a light system just for the Go Pro, you could mount this light: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-540/168367/Sealife-Sea-Dragon-Mini-600-Dive-Light.html to the top bar above the Go Pro mount for a video light with the bracket that comes with this light.
Hi, I want to purchase two of these RS-1. I scuba in the mayan riviera. Most of time is reef diving. The deepest I get is 150 feet. I live in Mexico & I want to know how much the shipping is going to be & how much normally pays for customs. Also I want to know if this is the scooter I need? Is there a better one? Thank you.
Does the RS1 come with charger? Im 200lbs muscular, would the RS1 be a better choice than the RS2? Thanks for your time
Hello David, yes the unit comes with the charger. As for what unit would be best for you is the RS2. Its going to be .75 mph slower but you will have a longer run time and the recharge is 1hr faster. Both units weight is the same and they both have the max depth of 160'.
Darrick, Is that GoPro mount available here? I didnt see a link to it. Its just a simple attachment from the older year model to the handle?
Hello Erik, yes with the mounts that GoPro makes you can grab the http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-540/168273/Gopro-Grab-Bag-of-Mounts.html and a few of these different mounts would mount to the Sea-Doo.
I am looking at getting the RS-1 or RS-2 and am wondering about how to get an extra battery for back up? How much are they and can I get one?
Hello Don, yes we sell the spare batteries: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-240/030416/Sea-Doo-Sea-Scooter-Replacement-Battery.html. The batteries are different from make to make so it depends on the cost for the model you end up getting.
Just wanted to know why the RS1 sea scooter is advertised everywhere including your website as being able to reach a speed of up to 4.35 Mph(7kmh), when clearly it cant? I have a sea adventures business in one of the tropical island in the Pacific, and just purchased 2 RS1. We tested them in the pool, and clearly they couldnt go faster than 2.5Mph (4kmh) in top gear.
I need to know more information about the Sea-doo scooter rs1. It true that they fails a lots? Problems with the battery? Any personal opinions? Thanks
Hello Matias, I have been using these products on and off for over 10 years. I have not had any issues with the units. The reports that you have see about issues with these unit is more user error than a defect in the product. As long as you properly put take apart and put it back together properly you should not have any issues with these units.
Hi guys, Im interested in 6x RS1 units and Im looking for the best scooter for snorkeling, Im want to cover some distance a little speed and I need a reliable machine. Which of all would you recommend for daily use, once a day. Is there any way to charge it faster? Can I get a better deal purchasing these units? Where can I get replacement parts if needed? How much would an additional battery cost? Thank you for your time, blessings
Hello Johnattan, if you are looking to cover the most distance when you are in the water yes this unit will get you there the quickest. This would have the fastest speed out of all the Sea-Doo scooters. Since all you are doing is snorkeling the scooter I would suggest for you would be the: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-94/131715/Sea-Doo-VS-Supercharged-Plus-Scooter-DPV.html.

The next generation SEADOO SEASCOOTER RS1 underwater scooter features a next generation Lithium Ion power source and a powerful 500 Watt motor for blazing speeds up to 4.35 Mph (unheard of in a 21 lb. sea scooter), auto buoyancy, advanced tracking and maneuverability, a tri stage transmission and much more.
