what battery would I get as a spare for the Aqua Ranger Scooter (DPV). Clicking on the "replacement battery" link takes me to a $300 battery. Thats $50 more than the Aqua Ranger Scooter (DPV). Is this correct?

Hello Steve, the battery link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-240/030416/Sea-Doo-Sea-Scooter-Replacement-Battery.html. Then in the drop down menu you will pick the option for the version of scooter you want.

  • Karen:

Is the Sea Doo Aqua Ranger Scooter appropriate for a child under 12 years old ?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    Yes.

  • PAMELA:

Is there a difference in speed/torque between ranger and pro.. Everything i read makes it sound like the ranger is faster. Looking for 2 units to pull adults 105#s and 200#s just from boat to shore etc, not diving ... Which do you recommend? If the ranger is faster seems like logical choice if the only difference between ranger and pro is depth. Also, are you models the 2016 with go pro mount???

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The Ranger only has a 30ft depth rating. It is made more for pool and snorkeling than for diving. The Pro will have a stronger battery and heavier motor.
