Product came with no instructions or paperwork, so I wasnt sure if both parts of the quick disconnect had one way valves. It was convenient to pull my computer quickly from my dive gear since the dive shop was setting up and tearning down my gear. Keep an eye on the O rings, they smash and break the seal easily, and make sure the pin is pushed in all the way before screwing the quick disconnect back on. This piece of equipment is touchier than I was hoping.

The Aeris high pressure quick disconnect makes it very easy to remove a pressure gauge or computor console from the first stage regulater. The part that disconnects from the high pressure source however, has a long male pin and this could get damaged by draging on rough surfaces or banging against hard objects such as cylinders. Its a good product and does the job but a little pricy.

The quick disconnect is up on the valve and leaves a very fragile looking pin sticking up and out when the unit is disconnected. I thought it would disconnect down by the gauges so I could tuck them into a gauge protector.

the connector would not fit into the gauges, had to put it at the regulator. i think now i have two small inlets and are not sure that is good thank you: wwebber@pacbell.net
