No. The Vyper uses the "non D-series" download kit.

Im sorry, but forums have said that there are different cables for the D4 and D4i and when using the new DM4 software the standard D series cable will not work. I borrowed a Suunto cable from a friend and using DM4 it would not recognize my D4i computer. I want to make sure that this cable will work with the D4i computer and DM4 software.

You are correct, the D series cable will not work with the Vyper and Cobra. This cable can be special ordered from Suunto.
