I searched quite a bit to find this battery kit for the Oceanic Datamax Pro Plus, an older (but still relevant) dive computer based on a conservative and still popular algorithm with newer dive computers. Scuba.com techs helped explain that even though the o-ring is round, it fits perfectly into the oblong battery compartment. Other sellers didnt understand this nuance.

This is by far one of the fastest and most convenient ways to change the battery on your computer, Cochran and Oceanic really know what the customer needs are. Oceanic provides the silicone new screws O ring and the battery. What more do you need? The biggest plus is that you dont need to take it or send it in for a battery replacement.

This is just a battery and a small allen wrench! Yet, Oceanic priced it over $20. That said, this battery powers the best dive computer I have ever owned!

After installing my battery just 2 weeks before my scuba trip in the Belize Aggressor, the computer quit working. After the aborted dive removed battery tested it, it was working fine, the computer had other problems. Oceanic replaced computer with only 17 dives on it.
