Charger works fine, but a bit slow NMH batteries would work as well with faster charge rates and no memeory. Lots of life and power in the nickel cads, two long night dives and still going strong.
A bit over- priced, but very convenient to use. The larger spring in the base is much better than the original. Overall Im quite satisfied with the unit.

Rating: 120V only! Dont travel with this gear....
Reviewer: Niklas Gummmeson, Sunday, April 01, 2007
This charging kit only works with 110 volt systems (US). This is very weak for an outdoor product. Most serious outdoors people travel for “adventures’. With this kit, don’t travel outside the American continent because it is not capable of 220 volt electrical outlets. Get a proper charger that can handle 110-240 Volt and 50 -60 Hz instead.

Its great to have the recharger for the Cannon. When visiting places, the last thing you want to worry about is if you have enough batteries. It doesnt have a charge indicator, so you have to hope youve got a full charge.

I purchased the first re-charge kit for my husband after watching him struggle with all the batteries the Light Cannon requires. This makes life so much easier especially during a week long liveaboard trip.

Rating: best light in the sea

I absolutely love this torch! It is the brightest light in any group I dive with and has absolutely changed my night diving experiences for the better. Spendy indeed, but I feel it is worth it.

Very handy and convenient considering the cost of batteries and purchasing eight batteries at a time can get costly. This item literally paid for itself in a few months.

Rating: Expensive and not necessary

The rechargeable batteries are not really necessary. The light uses standard C-Cell batteries (alkali), which are available anywhere.

Have been using the rechargeable battery on latest dives and kit works well. Recharges pretty fast, always ready for the next dive.

Needs some better method of indicating full charge. Battery getting warm doesnt really cut it.
