Questions and Answers for Big Blue CF900P L.E.D. Light:

  • franc:

is this good light under water, I am buying as a gift, I do not know much about it

Aaron  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hi Franc Big blue makes a great light. With 900 Lumens it is a really bight light. It will make a great gift.

  • Jim:

Please clarify what batteries are used with this light?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

This uses a 18650 Li ion rechargeable battery.

  • eric:

What are the dimensions of that light and would it be compatible with wearing it with the Big Blue light glove mount? Thanks in advance for your info

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The mfg does not offer the external dimensions of the light. Looking at one here today it seems like it would fit in the glove, although the length of the body of this light would make it not the most comfortable light in the glove.

  • Russell:

Does the light come with a recharging device for the battery?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Russell, yes it comes with the recharger for the battery.

  • ANA:

Hello, I want to be sure: by rechargeable it is correct that you do not have to open de light to change batteries, you connect it to the recharge accessories. I understand correctly?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Ana, you would need to take the battery out of the light and put it in the charger to charge the battery.

  • ANA:

hello i just send a question about a light and i do not know if i was looking to a specific product if you know which one i am talking about. it is de big blue cf900p l.e.d. light. i would also like to know if you have the mc-nett seal aquaseal to repair the wet suits. thank you. ana

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Ana, no longer carry the aqua seal.

  • Josh:

Another review states that the lumens peak around 90. I am interested in the light but want to know if that is the previous model put out. What is the actual light output?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Josh, this lights output is adjustable from 90 to 900 lumens.

  • Virginia:

Hi, Im looking for a spare battery for this light - do you carry it? Urgent for my order please and thanks in advance! Virginia

Elliott  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Yes we do! Item: Sealife Tenergy Li-Ion Battery Battery

  • Lee:

Is it possible to flood the light when adjusting the beam focus? put differently, can you open the front end of the light accidentally when adjusting the beam spread?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Lee, yes it is possible to under screw the light when you are under water. But if all you are doing is turning the light on and then adjust the beam no you will not unscrew it to where you will flood the light.

  • Tom:

I just received my cf900p from you this week and it flooded on the first dive. But only the front chamber. I noticed bubbles coming through the little screw that is present at the chamber in front of the led. The manual gives no instructions as to what this screw is for. It has no o-ring so cannot be expected to keep water out. What is the issue here? The box with the light also contained an extra one of these little screws. Please advise before I send this back (not very happy to put it mildly). Thanks, Tom

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Tom, that small flat head screw is designed to flood that part of the chamber. The screw is there so if you would ever need to replace the shroud or light head you can remove that screw and pull apart the shroud. Letting the water inside that part helps keep the bulb from over heating and keeps the bulb cool. If you would like to contact the manufacture directly and ask them about this you can call them at 727-442-2300.
