Ive used this light on maybe eight dives now, pretty impressed with it as far as performance goes. The one drawback is that its BIG. REALLY BIG. I know, you should be able to imagine eight D-cell batteries making a big light, but it didnt really sink in until I used it the first time. The size and bulkiness of the light is the only thing that kept me from giving it five stars. One thing I particularly do like about the light is the length of time the batteries last. Eight dives and still going strong, bright enough to use during a day dive (for checking in crevices and whatnot). Overall, thumbs up.

For the cost you wont find a better light. It will be brighter than 90% of the lights your fellow divers use (unless they all use light cannons) and very durable. A must have upgrade is the lantern grip holder. Depending on how you feel about using/thowing out a lot of "D" batteries check out the rechargable kit from UK too. This light is not compact. The Underwater Kinetics Sunlight D8 is a nice light overall. It put out a good deal of light and rarely leaks or floods and very durable. The only problem is it gets heavy during long dives, bad for trim and while clipped it hangs low causing some silt problems.

great flashlight for the price...the battery life is excellent (usually two dives 6-8 hours). i have not had any problems with leaks or the bulbs blowing however, the replacement parts are inexpensive compared to some of the other flashlight models.

Wonderful light although just a tad on the large side. Great light beam with outstanding penetration. The 30 watt bulb with the recharge kit is a very nice addition

This light is fantastic. Next best thing to a HID, even better if you cant spare the extra money. Thought I wouldnt get attached but I dont dive without it now.
