Rating: Awesome light

Bought it about a month ago and just recently had the chance to put it to the test, and I must say I loved it. I had the UK light cannon before this and this just blows it out of the water. On the first dive I did a night dive just of cozumel and was impressed at how the beam doest have hot spots, it lent my buddy my light cannon and after the dive he told me he had light envy. The next day I took it for a couple of cave dives and thats where it really shined, it just lights up the whole cave. And its so small. The only problem I see is that the battery will last for about an hour so I wouldnt trust it for repeat cave dives without being topped off, a cig lighter adapter would be nice to charge between dives, other than that Im very pleased.

Rating: Tusa TUL-1000 LED Dive Light
Reviewer: Michael Farrell, Sr
I havent have it in the water yet. But the light appears to give a good beam and the ability to change from wide to small beam is good. Three power settings. The size if great, small and light weight. Since I travel overseas alot this is a great feature since size and weight pay a factor in the gear I use. It was demo unit at a great price. Minor scratch but doesnt affect the function. Looking forward to diving with it.

Rating: Best Value
Reviewer: Rodolfo M.
If you are a serious diver on a budget this is the best value for your money. I dive at least once a week. I use it as my primary light for night dives. Cant beat the size. My dive buddy has had this light for about two years with no issues. I have had mine for three months. Made by Sola under the TUSA brand. For the price you wont get a better value.

Aaron  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hi Stef, You would need a 110 volt converter.

  • Luis:

When the battery needs to be replaced (i think after 500+ charges), is this made by thru TUSA or a light and motion dealer?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

It would go through the manufacture that it was purchased from.

  • Joaquin:

Can I use this light out of the water continuously?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Dive lights, even LED dive lights are typically not advised for use out of the water. The reasoning is that they are designed to send as much power as possible to the light heads or diodes. This creates extra heat, which is damaging to the light. It is factored in that this extra heat will be dissipated and countered by the surrounding water. Without the water, the lights tend to burn out much faster (sometimes in the case of HID or Halogen bulbs instantly).
