Rating: New UK SL4 eLED u/w light
Reviewer: James Tuszka, Monday, November 20, 2006 - View all my reviews
I have recently purchased a UK SL4 eLED underwater light and taken it on a dive trip to Bonaire. It is bright enough to be used as a primary dive light in clear waters. The beam on the SL4 is narrow, making it bright enough for daylight dives to peer under ledges and in crevises. At night it gives you a very bright but quite small area of illumination. In its beam angle it is almost as bright as the UK HID "Light Cannon" (my primary light), but the Light Cannon has a much wider beam angle, lighting up a much larger area. The LED eliminates the bulb filiment, making it very reliable. The SL4 fits tightly into my BC pocket, but I have a rather small BC (Scubapro Destiny 20).
The SL4 is head and shoulders above any filiment based light at any price. It is compact enough to carry on every dive and is an adequite primary dive light for the casual night diver. When not under water, I carry the SL4 in my car to light up road signs and addresses in the rural areas where I travel. For the price you cannot beat it as a fine underwater light.

Rating: An excellent all-purpose light
Reviewer: Robert Fisher, Saturday, January 06, 2007
Ive been diving frequently for 40 years and have owned several generations of dive lights. As most dives are in daylight, I look for a light that is compact and that can be attached conveniently to my console or in a pocket, for looking into crannies or in swim-throughs. For the past decade, Ive preferred the PCA Ikelite with 6 AA batteries, but decided to try the SL4 with 4C batteries and the white LED bulb. Its almost as compact as my prior lights but gives an intense light that is far more effective in daylight. Its a winner. Many of divemaster friends in Cozumel have asked me to bring a bunch of them back to Mexico next December for them. This is the first product Ive ever recommended to others. Bob Fisher

Rating: Kinetics SL4 eL.E.D. a Good Deal!
Reviewer: Charles Carlson, Sunday, November 19, 2006
I purchased the Kinetics SL4 eL.E.D. as a smaller alternative to my SL6. I have not been dissapointed. I use the light as a secondary at night and always keep it in my BC pocket, even on daylight dives. It is great for peeking into caves and cracks and I really cannot tell the difference between that and the SL6 as far as brightness goes. The switch is the same toggle, in the same place so there is nothing new to get used to mechanically speaking. What I do notice is that the batteries last 3-4 times as long in the SL4 e.L.E.D, which translates into an overall savings on batteries. It is also smaller and much lighter than the SL6. The Kinetics SL4 eL.E.D. is an excellent choice for any diver out there.

Rating: Great light for the BC
Reviewer: Peter B., Wednesday, January 24, 2007
Excellent light (very white due to LED bulb) in a small package. I used this routinely on a recent trip to Cozumel and it performed great...easily fits in your BC and puts out a very strong beam of light for its size. Im very happy with its performance and ease of use. Stongly suggest it for those who want a light to use to check out crevices etc. during any type of dive.

Rating: Small package - Big Power
Reviewer: Jack Barron, Sunday, November 19, 2006 - View all my reviews
I bought this light for my wifes birthday present. She likes looking under ledges in the daylight and this powerful light provides a pure beam to see perfectly. She also uses this light as her primary night light, and it has more than enough light width to be a primary light source. It is such a great light I will have one before our next dive trip.

Rating: Not Bad...
Reviewer: Thane Keller, Thursday, October 12, 2006 - View all my reviews
This isnt a bad light to start with. Its nice and cheap and the actual light is very bright. It hangs easily off your wrist and makes it easy to get to and turn on and off. I used the light in a river with very low vis. It helped a little bit, but overall i would say a larger light overall is probably worth getting.

Rating: Underwater Kinetics SL4 eL.E.D. Light
Reviewer: Michael White, Thursday, October 12, 2006
This is a great little light. It fits in a BC pocket or dangles easily from your wrist. Its very easy to use even with cold water gloves. It lights holes and overhangs very well. I purchased it as a back up for night dives, but found I use it as a primary. Only 4 hours on the batteries so far but still going strong.

THE LIGHT IS WATER PROOF AND EASILY PENETRATES THE WATER. THE LIGHT WORKED GREAT IN THE FISH TANK AT HOME AND IN THE WATER....INSIDE THE BATH TUB.IT WORKED GREAT UNDER THE HOOD OF MY TRUCK(ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN). WHEN I GO DIVING IN THE WATER CAVES NEXT MONTH,I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO USE IT THE CORRECT WAY.

Rating: Underwater Flash Light
Reviewer: Arthur Landman, Saturday, December 29, 2007 - View all my reviews
I like the flashlight and used it on my wreck dive in Grand Cayman. The dive was just o.k. as the wreck was destroyed by many hurricanes over the years and looked like a junk yard.
Im pleased with the light and hope to enjoy many more dives with it over the next few years.
Thanks

I have never owned an L.E.D. light until I bought this one. The light is great and it is very bright underwater. This is a good light to have to poke around in holes with during the day. Compared to a regular light this seems to give off a much brighter ray of light.

I purchased these lights for a trip to Cozumel. They worked great. My wife and I both had one. On our night dive we were by far the brightest lights underwater... much "whiter" and bright. Other divers commented they always knew where we were due to our lights.

Rating: Great little light
Reviewer: Carie M., Monday, July 30, 2007
This isnt a canon by any stretch of the imagination, but it gets the job done... and does it well. Very crisp & produces vibrant colors b/c of the LED. Best used as a backup, or a BC Pocket light, for hunting under nooks & crannies during the daytime.

Rating: SLr eLED as a primary light
Reviewer: Richard C., Monday, September 10, 2007
I recently used this as my primary light on a dive trip in Cozumel. It worked great. The others I was with had much bulkier lights. They were a little brighter but not worth extra trouble (or cost I imagine). This is a great light.

Reviewer: Brian G., Sunday, August 03, 2008
This light is great. I used it on a recent vacation during day dives to check out reefs and wrecks. It exceeded my expectations. I have a Pelican LED and it just blows it away. This light would work great as a primary for night dives,

This light was great. Very rugged, watertight (I used the on/off swith and kept it screwed tight. The led is much tougher than the bulb. Visibiliy under the water was fantastic as well

Great light for day diving and back up for night dives. This light has plenty of brightness, and is easy to carry either clipped on or in a BC pocket. It is a great value for the price.

a very bright light. If you are not really into Night/Wreck/Cave diving, this piece of torch can act as your primary torch. It serves you well, for recreational purpose.
