Rating: Perfect light

Ive been of the opinion that dive lights just dont last that long or something always goes wrong with a bulb or something. Well, I think Ive finally landed on the perfect light for my needs. Not too heavy or cumbersome, but still very bright for night dives. I even ended up ordering another one for my husband. Hopefully now they will outlive the others we have had, and no reason not to think positively.

Light works fantastic. The smaller size makes it easier to clip and go. Half the size of a standard Princeton Tek, its lighter for my wife to use. We love the broader beam which makes nite diving even better!!

Just got back from a dive vacation in the BVI and finally got a chance to try this light out. What a great light. Big light performance in a compact form. I love it. FYI, I attached this to my BC with the XS Scuba camera/flashlight retractor. Perfect combination.

Rating: Princeton tec mini wave and shock wave
Reviewer: Ron S.
These are hands down the best dive lights for the price/size. I prefer the 8 c shockwave light just because it lasts longer for trips. They are extremely bright. A little to bright actually for hunting lobsters which is what i use it for. I have a head lamp that I use to catch them after I spot them with this baby!!

Rating: Brightest Light Ive Ever Owned
Reviewer: William A.
Havent used in underwater yet, but judging by the way it work "dry," it should be awesome. Yes, the switch is a little clumsy, but I figure Ill turn it on before I dive and leave it on the entire time Im submerged. The claimed battery life is so good that I a one-tank dive wont put much of a dent in a set of batteries. Why do people still buy incandescent/halogen/xenon? Beats me. Would probably give it five stars if I had actually dived with it.

This is a great light for any adeventure. I took it on several night dives and a couple cave dives and it worked great. The low setting was plenty bright enough to do everything I needed it to do.

Havent gone on vacation yet but this light is very bright and well built. As some have mentioned the switch is a little tricky but not overly burdensome. Looking forward to using it in a little more than a month.

MINIWAVE LED

The little brother of the Shockwave, the Miniwave is nothing to scoff at. We packed 390 Lumens into the smaller body style, so you really can have your cake and eat it, too. The smaller body style is ideal for those who want to be streamlined and lighter. With the flick of the switch you can toggle between low and high power settings and the locking mechanism ensures that the Miniwave LED will remain off when you have it in your bags.

FOCUSED WIDE BEAMS
This beam pattern is an excellent choice for multipurpose activities. At close range, focused wide beams simulate normal daylight conditions and allow you to take advantage of your peripheral vision.

HEATSINK TECHNOLOGY
Princeton Tec has developed proprietary ultralight heatsinks to protect LED products from overheating. Even though LEDs operate at much lower temperatures than traditional incandescent bulbs, they still generate heat. If this heat is not dissipated, the LED will suffer irreversible damage. By using heatsinks, Princeton Tec lights can burn at extreme brightness levels for long periods of time. The heatsink may be incorporated internally or externally depending on the product and its application.

LED OPTIC COLLIMATOR
A collimator gathers all available light from an LED in the form of scattered rays and re-emits the light as parallel rays, making it more optically efficient than a standard reflector. Princeton Tec calibrates each collimator to the type of LED and application of each light. With proprietary optimized collimator / lens systems, Princeton Tec continues to advance LED technology.

MULTIPLE MODES
Multiple settings on many of our products give you the flexibility to adjust your light’s brightness and/or beam width to illuminate greater distances or to conserve battery power, depending on your needs.

WATERPROOF - LEVEL 3
The highest of Princeton Tec’s ratings, Level 3 is assigned to lights that offer a degree of water protection equivalent to IPX8 in the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. Lights rated at Level 3 provide waterproof integrity for continual submersion in water at depths down to 100 meters.

WEIGHT - 650
Princeton Tec’s advertised product weights always include batteries. For many products, battery weight is a large percentage of overall weight. Weight can be significantly reduced by using lithium batteries in lithium-compatible products.
