And the reviews are in: "This compact eight C-cell torch packs a lot of punch. It projects a large hot spot, offers bright peripheral illumination and delivers a wide beam with an excellent, mottle-free light pattern. It's made with a dual-filament multi-outpost bulb that allows you to power up from a light-up-the-night 7.5 watts to a terrify-the-fish 15 watts when you need it." -Scuba Diving Magazine

Good product, but the three position switch is a bit difficult to use, especially with gloves keeping it from being a great product. The light beam (on high) is bright, but fairly broad, certainly not a spot light, which makes the rated brightness a bit mis-leading. Has a long battery life. All in all a good product well worth the money, but a better switch would be a great improvement.

I am extremely pleased with the intensity of this light. I dive a local lake that has poor visibility at best, and this light gives just what is needed to be comfortable in the dive and allow me to find my way around. A great light at a really great price.

Reviewer: Sean McSharry,
Took this on a night dive in Cozumel. This thing throws out a massive amount of light. One thing that is important to note is that this is more of a flood light than a spot. Used with my Princeton Torrent LED which is a great combo as the LED is much more focused.

For as cheap as the light was (around $50 cheaper than other similar models), the light has worked WONDERFULLY! Great spot beam for keeping track of my buddy on night dives, and I love the low and hi options - the hi brings out every color imaginable, even in the darkest little crevices.

Rating: Did the job
Reviewer: kasey s.,
I needed a light for snorkeling in 3-6 feet of water, looking for spiny lobster in Southern CA. This light did the job. This light, on the "high" setting, gave me an excellent view of everything within 5 feet. Visibility can be somewhat poor in the location I was in, so 5-6 feet was about the limit of any light. I like its smaller size for getting into all the tight places while searching for lobster. I would definitely recommend this light to a friend. Good light at a good price.

We have a Princeton Tec Tech 4000 Dive light that was given to us recently. The previous ower passed away. There was no booklet. The batteries are rechargeable and we were wondering how long to leave on the charger. This information would be truely appreciated.
Thank you.

The first time charging the battery should be for 24 hours. After that typically 3 to 6 hours to re-charge the battery, depending on how much the light was used. You can also contact the manufacturer directly (609) 298-9331.
