Rating: Princeton Tec Shockwave II Light

Im quit happy with the Princeton Tec Shockwave II Light. I bought 2, one for me and my wife. They were a bit smaller than I expected but that means they pack well. Also the 2 stage switch I found to be quite handy. While in transit from location to location under water while not looking at any thing specific you can keep the light on low beam, extending the life of the batteries. When you come upon something interesting you can easily flip the switch to high beam which seemes better than day light. I highly recommend these lights...

I recently was looking to purchase an inexpensive but reliable primary light for night diving. I do mostly salt and freshwaterwater shore diving in the Northeast. The Shockwave 11 fit right into that category. It is built well, easy to use, and comfortable to carry. Also, service with Scuba was excellent with it being shipped on the same day, arriving to my doorstep in three.

ive used this light on a couple of night dives and i think it functions just as well as lights that are much more expensive. my only concern is that the switch is a little stiff to adjust with one hand however, this is not a really big inconvenience.

Great light...bright enough to light up openings 10-15 feet away and scan an area without having to get up close and personal - if time is important and your hunting bugs. It held on to my wrist without fail and was always there when I needed it.

This light is worth evey $ you spend on it. I have used this light on many cold water night dives. I especially like the 2 different settings. I have another Scuba pro 4 D cell light and this one "Outshines" it by comparison.

Rating: Bright Light
Reviewer: Douglas Sourbeer, Saturday, September 08, 2007
I tried this on a recent night dive in Monterey and found the light to be very bright with considerable area coverage. The lock to prevent accidental turn on didnt work very well. Other than that it is a great light.

I had a lot of trouble turning the light on and found it nearly impossible to switch from low to high wattage, for my needs I will keep it on high anyway so Im not totally disappointed.

Good product really puts out a lot of light. I really like the dual feature on this light. Gives you the ability to use a lower light output if using during the daytime.

I thought the switch was a little hard to turn on, but in the water it was not as tough. The brightness is good also, I would recommend this light.
