No, each camera and housing are different and cannot be inter-changed.

  • Ken:

The camera for the DC800 and DC1000 look exactly the same are they interchangeable? Could I order a Dc1000 camera for a DC800 housing?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Unfortunately the cameras and housings are not inter-changeable.

  • Matthew:

Isnt it true that scuba.com no longer stocks any of these cameras, and is in fact lying when they say these cameras are for sale? Does this not constitute false advertising?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

We are still able to get replacement cameras, but it totally depends on availability from Sealife. If at the time of the order they do not have them we contact you as soon as we find out from them. Cost wise it sometimes makes more sense to upgrade to the most current camera and housing. Almost all the accessories will fit all the housings.

  • Dan:

you wouldnt have a working internal DC310 camera? Mine shorted a year ago from condensation in Cuba in the room in its case!

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Dan, that camera is no longer made by the manufacture and we do not have any in-stock or be able to get this camera. We do have the new Sealife cameras that we can get to you.

  • Chris:

My wife has 2 sealife dc500 cameras and they are starting to give us problems. The housing on both are fine and I am able to repair them myself but the cameras are the problem. Is it possible for us to buy the newer style cameras and use the old housing or is there no hope. I dont want to buy new ones even though the old ones have been good. Or is there another camera that will fit and work inside these housings.

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Unfortunately each model of camera is unique to it's corresponding housing and the cameras for each model do not fit in other models of housings.
