Just got my first Sealife camera. Read that I needed this moisture munchers. Put one in and went on 11 dives, still good to go. Dont believe the review that you need a new one for each dive. So far so good.

The ones I received in the mail were already purple/pink. I had to put them in the oven and bake the moisture back out of it. They seem to work fine now. They just soak up moisture in my flash and my camera housing.

I will assume the moisture munchers did their job as my camera did not have any moisture damage. They did change color very slightly after being in the humidity - so I knew they were working. Left one in the camera case with the camera for a week while on vacation. They are easy to use and fit into the camera case in the spot made for them.

Not something to leave home without! This is an easy, no-brainer! The color of these things makes it really simple to know when to change them. I have a friend who didnt pay attention to moisture levels, and though it didnt ruin his camera, it did effect the quality of the pictures. He ended up with a "fog" effect.

I always keep an extra supply of this with me. Despite the "use by" date, if you keep them in a small ziplock freezer bag as well as their original small ziplock bag and only open them in cool dry environments, they seem to last forever.
I stick one inside my strobe housing as well as the DC800 underwater camera shell.

When you put your camera inside the housing stick a moisture muncher inside as well. As long as it is blue to start with and you load the camera and the moisture muncher into the underwater shell in a cool dry place, your camera will remain fog free.
Just be sure to store the extra ones in a ziplock bag that you have sucked the air out of and then store that bag in a cool dry place or the other ones will go bad (pink) on you.

Why risk fogging the inside of your camera, or worse? Just pop one or two of these things inside your camera housing and go dive. They are cheap and have the advantage of telling you when they need to be replaced. When one turns pink, just replace it with a fresh blue one.

The moisture munchers were easy to use and the camera had a built in area to store them. No moisture was on the camera.
