Rating: Moisture Munchers
Reviewer: Ashley N Pruden, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 - View all my reviews
Ive had a Sealife Reefmaster for a little over a year and have used Moisture Munchers since day one. They start out blue, but as moisture/humidity is absorbed, turn a pinkish color. When they are mostly pink, it is time for them to be replaced. My only complaint is that they seem to turn so quick. I suppose thats a good thing if its eating all that moisture up and protecting my camera, but Ive had whole bags of them ruined because I didnt get the little zip bag zipped completely and moisture crept in and got to all of them at the same time. For those with these types of cameras though, this seems to be the only option as the holders for the capsules are built right into the camera and theres not much "breathing room" around the camera for any other option. Apart from that, they seem to work well. Just wish they lasted longer, thats all.

Rating: no more camera lens fogging
Reviewer: Don Segraves, Thursday, December 14, 2006
This product I have used before with my digital camera and underwater housing I purchased seperate. Before I had this product I could not see any moisture between the housing and camera. The photos came our real fuzzy and thought something was wrong with the camera. The manufacturer stated there definately was moisture. The Moisture Muchers fit idealy between the camera and housing and my photos came out great the first time I used it. Also the Moisture Muchers will turn purple aftertime when used. You can put them in the oven at real low temp about 200deg.F for a few minutes and when they turn blue again you can re use them. However you can do this about 3 differnt times.

I use Sealife Moisture Munchers with my current UW camera and strobe - they are great! They fit easily in the case, and change color when they are no longer functioning. One word of caution - I have seen stores selling capsules that have already turned pink (they have already been exposed to moisture). Fresh capsules should be dark blue - dont purchase (or return) any packages with pink capsules - the package probably had a leak.

Simple and a must for cameras and flashes. To understand why these little guys are so important is to understand the temperature of the camera or the external flash. As the flash and camera heat up while you are diving, it creates some serious condensation that can destroy you investment. The solution, Moisture Muncher.

If you own a Sealife digital camera you will want extra moisture munchers. I used 4 during a week long dive trip to Curacao. A little moisture can destroy your camera, a little expense now can stop a large expense not to mention those lost pisctures.

I did not have to change these out as often as I thought I would have or as often as I was told that I would probably have to. So I hope the expiration does not go out before my next trip so that I can use the ones I have instead of purchasing more.

I used the Moisture Muncher in a Sony Marine pack MPK-WA for my Sony W7 digital camera. My wife used the camera while snorkeling and didnt have a problem with fogging or condensation in the Marine pack. The Moisture Muncher does its job well.

They work real well. Just make sure that when you open your camera that it is in an air conditioned room. If you dont, your camera will fog up while diving, and the munchers will get moist real fast.

It has been so hard to find Moisture Muncher capsules in the past, especially ones that were not already pink in color. Thank you Scuba.com for having what I needed! They worked like a charm!

Good product, really helps with underwater fog in the housing. Also you can put them in the oven on very low heat once theyve turned pink and recharge them a couple of times.

Really handy but hard to find someone who sells them so glad Scuba.com cold send them so quickly after I ordered. I seem to only get a couple of dives before I need to change.

Perfect to keep you lens clear, not to mention that they fit in the holder made specifically for them. You dont want to be without them, especially on a humid day.
