I recently decided to purchase a neoprene mask strap for my Sherwood Magnum EX mask. Initially I purchased a mask strap from Sport Chalet, thinking that they all would be the same...with the exception of the logos placed on them. Needless to say the Sport Chalet brand didnt work to my expectations (it was uncomfortable, kept cutting into my ears, and the velcro on it was constantly tearing apart while I was snorkeling/free diving). I decided to try out the Poseidon mask strap and see if it was any better than my previous mask strap. The velcro on this strap is very strong and comfortable...even if it hits the top of your ears. So far it has shown no signs of wear or tear at all whatsoever, and the neoprene is far more comfortable than that of a rubber strap or my previous strap I purchased from Sport Chalet.

I have long naturally curly hair and the straps on dive masks always tangled and pulled out my hair. The Neoprene mask strap is wonderful and I no longer have this problem. I did learn, however, to make sure no velcro should be left exposed, because your hair will get tangled in that as well, but once I tightened my straps all the way - no more tangles. The ease of putting on my mask now, it also so much easier and quicker. Love it!

Because Im disabled with only the use of my right hand its a little hard to slip a mask on and off & adjust it to fit. An old friend whos a dive instructor told me to locate and try this type of strap. It slips on and off very easily and adjusts nicely with Velcro tabs with only one hand. Its very easy to install and dries very quickly. Its very well designed and looks like it is made to last a long time.

The new strap is a great addition to the mask comfort factor. The only downside from my perspective is the length of the strap....I have a relatively large head and I must adjust it beyond the normal amount to hold the mask in place without leaking....this leaves a 3-4 in. flapping piece. It would be great if they made straps with various lengths so you could optimize the size.

good product but is for the large head. I have a medium sized head and it just fits. My 11 year old son for get it now way. My wife has about 1/2 in of velcro on either side so not great for comfort of security of staying on while diving. Have only used it to skin dive so far but has stayed on then. Great for a large head.

I really like this mask strap but did not realize when I purchased it that it replaced my current straps. I find it very comfortable but I find myself adjusting the tightness often. I will continue to use the straps but when it comes time to replace them I will purchase the over the strap style.

Its comfortable and most importantly the adjustments are on the outside so you can adjust the strap without having to take your mask off. With the Slap-Straps you have to take your mask off underwater if you need to tighten your mask in the middle of a dive.

Excellent quality as would be expected with product from the company that basically invented the modern regulator.Tec Black with Poseidon Emblem on neopreme. Used @ Cabo Pulmo, Mexico and Casino Point worked great, stretch to pull on, super simple.

Now that Ive used this strap, I wont dive without a neoprene strap if I have a choice. It makes putting on and taking off the mask that much easier and it does away with the irritation of my hair sticking to or getting caught in a rubber strap...

The mask strap is very comfortable and easy to attach to your mask. It never loosened or slipped but stayed very secure while in use. I highly recommend this accessory to any mask.
