Questions and Answers for Sealife DC1400 Underwater Camera Reef Edition Set with Wide Angle Lens:

  • Sophia:

Hello, I am going to WA Perth for an year, and I was planning on taking up some scuba diving. does this DC1400 camera come with underwater housing? Also I was wondering, as an beginner if this camera or the sealife DC 122, which one would be better & easier for me to use. thanks!

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Sophia, the DC 1400 is the camera you want. It is a great camera for both the new diver and the old diver that have been diving for 30 years.

  • beckie:

What is the best choice of camera go pro black or sealife 1400 its for my husband and he is pushing for the go pro

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Beckie, I would suggest the DC 1400. The DC 1400 will take both still and video. Where as the Go pro only shoots in video and then you have to pull the still shots from the video.

  • Jessica:

Is this the camera you would recommend for a person who knows little to nothing about cameras but wants a professional looking photo?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jessica, yes this take great pictures. If you go to: http://www.sealife-cameras.com/gallery/dc1400 this is just a few pictures that have been taken with the DC 1400.

  • russell:

does this camera require a housing for scuba diving? if so how much doe one cost

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The DC1400 is a camera in a purpose built housing. It comes complete and nothing else is required to make it operate.
