Rating: Sealife Reefmaster good for shallow dives.
Reviewer: Tony W.,
The thing that is deceiving is it comes with the wide-angle lens, but if you use the wide-angle lens it blocks the flash, requiring you to buy their light attachment for good pictures. The good side is the menus are easy and it also takes good land pictures. Good value for the price, will buy attachment for next dive trip.

Questions and Answers for Sealife Reefmaster Mini 2.1 9.0 Megapixel Underwater Camera:
Bobby:
Hi there! On the Sealife Cameras manufacturer website, it says that this model has a mini wide-angle lens (detachable) included. The pic shown here does not show that lens attached and the description does not mention the lens as included. Can you please let me know for sure? Thank you!
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Bobby, in the description they are letting you know that the picture has included in it the wide angle lens. That is an added feature you can get when you order the camera. The wide angle lens is $69.95. If you have any other questions or would like to place an order please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.
Cindy:
How significant is a "less than 1 second delay" for shutter speed - is this a normal spec for a point and shoot digital?
Clarke (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Cindy, Thank you for your inquiry! Less than one second shutter speed is rather fast of this type of digital camera. And SeaLife is always working to make the cameras even better! http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-535/168261/Sealife-Reefmaster-Mini-2.1-9.0-Megapixel-Underwater-Camera.html If you would like to place an order or have questions about our products, please contact one of our certified Dive Instructors at SCUBA.com by calling 800-247-2822 <> 949-221-9300 or e-mail us at: info@scuba.com

Is the dc1400 worth the extra over the reefmaster mini 2.1 for snorkeling Thanks
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Steve, you will take better pictures and video with the DC 1400, over the Reef Master Mini. Plus you can use the DC 1400 outside of the housing if you take any land shots. The Mini is an all-in-one unit. If you would like to place an order or have any other questions please feel free to give us a call at 1.800.347.2822.

Barbara:
I bougth the Reefmaster Mini 2.1.9 camera for my daughter. She is in Jamaica using it but complained that it was shutting off everytime she tried to zoom, also it is using the battery very quickly. Is this normal or is she doing doing something wrong?
Aaron (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hi Barbara, The 1st thing I would try is new batteries. Also I would recommend 2 AAA lithium batteries, not alkaline batteries. You will get a lot more run time out of lithium batteries. If you are still having problems with your camera here is a link to help you. http://www.scuba.com/resources/repair/sealife.asp
Brian:
How long is the battery life on the Sealife Reefmaster Mini 2.1?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
It is impossible to say. It will vary on the amount and number of images being shot and how rapidly or the amount of video being shot.
Ralph:
I am NOT a professional photographer. Is there a more affordable alternative to the Sealife Digital Pro Flash attachment?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The Sealife Digital Pro Flash is one of the most affordable strobes on the market. It is designed to work with any point and shoot digital cameras. In comparison, strobes by other manufacturers and for other cameras can typically cost several times the price of the Sealife Digital Pro Flash.
Samantha:
The description states up to 8GB. Can I use a 16? Is 8 enough for a snorkeling trip? I am able to transfer everyday, but I dont want to run out of room while out diving. Thanks.
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Samantha, just got off the phone with the manufacture and you can go as high as a 32GB card but for the best pictures you should not go higher then a 16GB card.
