Questions and Answers for Gopro HERO 2 Motorsports Edition High Definition Video and Underwater Camera:

  • Lynn:

What is the difference between the Gopro outdoor edtion, motorsports edition and surf edition and which would be more suited for diving?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Lynn, it is the same camera, the different between the cameras is the mounting bracket. If you are looking for the best version of diving would be the outdoor edition it come with the mounting bracket so you can wear it on your head to have hands free diving. • Rebecca:

I am interested in getting a camera for when I go scuba diving- for general photos and video. I generally dont dive further than 30 metres. I am interested in the GoPro because I would also have the option to later mount it to be surfboard and use it there. Am I able to dive and not mount the GoPro and is it easy to use to take pictures when diving? Would you recommend I go with the GoPro, or something better suited? Thanks so much.

The GoPro will be a great camera for what you plan on using it for.
