We took the GoPro Hero2 on a dive vacation/cruise to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Grand Cayman and are thankful we did. We got some unbelievable video and still pictures. Camera is extremely easy to use and very versatile. I recommend this camera to anyone looking for an inexpensive and easy to use dive camera. Functioned great down to 70 feet wIthout any problems. Battery life is superb. One charge lasted for 4 45-50 minute dives

I bought this camera specifically for underwater video. Once I got the camera, I had to buy an additional housing for underwater video taking. I asked for a refund for the original housing. I was denied. I am happy with the camera, but not happy with the decpetive policy.

there are some filters for the gopro hero 2 but there are red orange..... but witch one is the best for somebody ho is snorkeling and what do they all do ( what is the diffrent ) 🏊 oh and whitch tool is the best for on your ski ore snowboard im come from the netherlands so i dont know if my spelling is corect. ruben

The GoPro cameras coming with a housing and mounting hardware, depending on the model you select. We do not carry a pole specific to the GoPro cameras.

We had an old film underwater camera, which took great shots with the strobe light attached. The strobe died and we would like to replace the camera with a digital one, that is not too expensive. I did not see a light attachment for the Gopro Hero. Is one needed for dives at 60 to 80 ft or so?

The GoPro is a simple to use point and shoot camera. Without some kind of video lighting the picture will be exactly like it looks to the diver. They come with several attachments that you could use with a try of some sort in order to use a tray and light system. The Sealife LED Video light might work for this.

One of the reviews indicated that a separate housing was required to facilitate video shots. Is this correct, or does the package come with everything you need? Also, what are the physical dimensions of the display screen?

Hello. I understand that you neeed a flat lens and red filter for best results when using this camera to scuba dive. Backscatter makes a special housing for the filter and lens for this camera but it is over $100.00. Is there any other solution? Thanks, Gary

Unfortuntately at this time that product or the items supplied directly from GoPro are the only options for this camera.

I am only interested in this camera for use while snorkeling and diving. How much quality can I expect without spending extra for the dive housing with the flat lense? Thank you for your time.

The Gopro camera was originally designed for use by surfers on the surface of the water. It performs very well snorkeling and diving. You can experience a bit of vignetting of your photos during shots taken scuba diving due to the flat lens on the housing.

The Gopro cameras use a different mount than the traditional tripod mount that would allow for use of a common tray/strobe assembly.
