Rating: Pretty good little camera
Reviewer: Donald Anderson, - View all my reviews
I had read a number of bad reviews for this camera, but fortunately I didnt experience any of the problems I had read about there. I only took it on two dives this trip, but that was due to poor viz and not because of the camera. I took it down to over 100 ft, and had no problems with water getting in the camera. I also used the same batteries for both dives, and the camera was still showing fully charged when I came home. I didnt open the camera until I came home and had to take the SD card out, and I didnt take any videos or use the internal flash so that may have helped. The qualities of the photos were certainly not what you would expect from a high end camera, but for $169 and for its small size, it did what I wanted. I enhanced the photos with photoshop to add the color that you lose without an external flash, but it did meet all of my expectations.

Rating: Totally Exceeded Expectations!
Reviewer: Joseph C.,
We bought this camera to use on a once in a lifetime trip with our three kids - a Disney cruise then DisneyWorld. We figured we would take a few pictures with this in the ocean with the dolphins, the beach, and the pool. This camera took terrific pictures both below and above water. Zoom and flash functionality under water? Awesome! Picture quality exceeded expectations. We didnt even need our regular camera because the picture quality out of water with this camera was just as good. No leaking or water inside the camera at all. Great price, quick shipment, etc. Nothing but good! Thanks!

Reviewer: JEFF H.,
This camera work great on our vacation. The only thing is make us you use lithitium batteries . The AAA battery do not last long. I changed them after each dive. But other that that the videos and pics. Were great.

This is a gift I purchased for my fiance for our July 2013 honeymoon to Hawaii. We have not used it yet, but we are very excited to use it while snorking. We did play around with it and it appears to be easy to use, sturdy camera.

Rating: Regulator Storage Bag
Reviewer: BARBARA DAVIDSON, - View all my reviews
Great item to protect the hoses and maintain the correct shape by being stored in a circular bag. Also able to wrap it so the regulator and dive computer are also protected and padded. Love it!

Rating: where did my battery go...
Reviewer: James M.,
Solid pictures, lightweight, portable, durable and easy to use. My only strike against the camera is that it’s a batter hog and I got little to no notice that the battery was drained. On two different dives the camera stopped working because of the batteries being dead and I missed a few great pictures as a result. Be sure to change regularly because the low battery indicator does not seem to give much of a read...

Rating: Nice compact digital camera / some helpful hints
Reviewer: Kelly McBean,
i recently bought a sealife reefmaster mini2/9.0 megapixel camera to take on my dive trip to curacao. this camera is very easy to set up with new format menu. i was able to capture some very nice photos. some helpful hints for this camera. 1)purchase rechargeble batteries with charger. i was able to make 3 dives a day taking lots of pictures and still have battery life and the end of the day.this camera runs on 2 aaa batteries.2)rinse camera in fresh water and end of your dive day and let dry overnight.3)do not open camera door until the next mourning to replace with 2 new aaa recharged batteries to aviod getting any water s into battery compartment.4)i found that the camera added to much red in dive mode on my photo prints,i would use snorkling mode only, this adds only a slight red tone to the picture. i had to remove lots of red color when i had my pictures developed.5) i added a 4gb digital card to the camera that will allow 3600 pictures, more than plenty for me.6)the wide angle lens with float strap made this a complete package that will last me for years to come. hope this helps you all, happy diving.
Hello,

thanks,
Marlon Jorge

It will go as deep underwater as the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean. It will operate to 130 feet underwater, though.

Does this camera comes with an SD memory card without me choosing the option "Black with 2GB memory card"? Well, the desc said "Free SD card".
Greg (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
No, this camera comes equipped with14MB in internal memory. You can add additional memory cards to have even more storage capability. The camera includes a free CD card reader.
Renate:
Hi, i have a question: do accessories mount with the SL 330? I was told by my local shop that this one wasnt accessories-ready. Would you please tell me what I can or cant add to this specific camera? Thank you!
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
This camera will work with the Sealife External Strobe and LED Video light without any trouble. The new Wide Angle lens will also work.
Renee:
New Reefmaster mini or the Mini II? Which is the better underwater camera for a novice underwater photographer considers ease of use as important as picture quality.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
They are both perfect choices. Basically the same camera, with the Mini 2.1 being a slightly updated version. It comes with the wide angle lens and works to a slightly deeper depth, although the original Mini still works to the limits of the recreation diving planner.
Frank:
Hi,
Is this camera compatible with the Nikon SB105 strobe?
Thanks,
Frank
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
It is compatible with any photo sensitive slave strobe.
Jeanette:
Hi, does this camera have a built in flash? If not, is there an inexpensive one you can recommend?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Yes the camera has a built in flash.
glenn:
when I use mini 2 in video mode on land, the sound is not good. low volume and then loud sound. anybody about 3 feet or more it dose not pick up.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
It is designed for use underwater first and made functional on land second. Underwater the goal is to get as close as possible to your subject, hence the limited range on the sound pick up.
Don:
Currently have a Sea life reef master mini with a wide angle lens. My question is can I use the same wide angle lens with new camera? Also, can I get my old camera refurbished (buttons stick but camera and housing work fine)?
Thanks,
Don
Currently have a Sea life reef master mini with a wide angle lens. My question is can I use the same wide angle lens with new camera? Thanks, Don
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Yes this will work with both mini cameras.
Ronald:
What is the difference between the Sealife mini and the Sealife reefmaster mini? do they both work above and below water?
thank you
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The Reefmaster Mini @.1 is the latest version is a better camera and comes with the wide angle lens.
betty:
Does this model have a rechargeable connector that can be purchased?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
No, batteries would need to be replaced or you could get a set of rechargeable batteries.
George:
Is this the SL332 with the wide angle lens for $169 ? ? ? ?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
No, that would be the Sealife Reefmaster Mini 2.1. The item you are asking about here is the SL330
Emma:
How do you get pictures off of the internal memory?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The camera comes with a SD card reader. Pull the SD card out of the camera and plug it into the reader and then into the USB port to download.
bob:
does the sealife 11 take good clear pictures and does it have it`s own flash? I have under water camera in a housing and the pictures it takes are not good . going to dive with the whale sharks thanks bob
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
This has a built in flash, but for the best colors you would need to add a digital strobe. The camera's flash is not powerful enough for good underwater pictures.
richard:
how many megapixels does the sealife mini II camera have?
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
It has 9.0 megapixels - that was a very good question
Rick:
Does this camera come with a microphone to be used in video mode? I will use this for canyoneering more than diving.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
No audio recording on this camera.
Rick:
I would have bought two if it had audio recording. The typical water proof cameras good to 30 or so are not durable enough for me.
