Although I tried to wear the mask as loosely as possible without leaking, it still pressed very firmly against my forehead giving me a headache after an hour or so of snorkeling. Needs redesign to add more space between forehead and mask or needs padding added.

Was a little disappointed. Not in the quality of mask but by not trying it on just ordering it thru email. The mask was a little snug on my face. Worked fine, just would liked to havea little larger mask.

I purchased the Alpha 2 mask with corrective lenses after having dived using contact lenses in the past. I was amazed at the quality of the mask and was able to see very well with the new lenses. I also received the plain lenses with my mask so if my prescription changes, I can still keep using the mask. The fit of the mask was very good and the case that came with it allowed me to put my regular glasses in a safe place while under water. This was also my first use of a mask with a purge valve (another great option available). It worked great! Thank you Scuba.com:)

i go this mask with the prescription lens s. scuba.com installed the lenses before shipping to me. i can see great - i cant believe how cheap it was - if i had known i would have gotten a prescription mask years ago. (i used to wear contact lenses regularly, but stopped and have been using my remaining supply only for diving.) the only problem i had with the mask was a need to play with the position on my face a little bit so that it didnt put pressure on the bridge of my nose, but as i said just a small change in position and no more problem.

I am extremely nearsighted. I need correction close to the maximum -8 diopters that H2O offers. I have used one of these masks for several years and find it excellent. When my eyesight changed recently, O rdered a second mask with new correction. Shipped very quickly. My placed order had not requested the correct lens on one side (no fault to scuba.com). A replacement lens was installed on the same day I presented the mask, no questions asked. These lenses are extremely easy to swap out and scuba.coms service is great.

I am very pleased with my new H2O Alpha 2 mask. My husband and I just returned from a trip to Cozumel where we snorkeled everyday. This is my first mask with a purge valve - loved it! It was comfortable on my face and didnt leave a "red mask mark". Another review spoke of the purge valve rubbing on nose and making nose sore. I didnt have any trouble with that. I had a little trouble with it fogging up, but all my masks have been that way. I used anti-fog spray and spit...does anything really work for a long period of time??? I hope to enjoy this mask for several years!

The mask I have is very nice, but I cant for the life of me find the purge valve. The nose area collects water and I have to surface to blow the water out.
I had ordered the mask with purge, so I think they just shipped the wrong one. The case says with purge, so perhaps the factory packaged it incorrectly.

Great purge mask, for a small face. I had difficulty finding a mask for a small face, they all leaked. This one fits nicely, doesnt fog, and purges easily because of the soft nose pocket. I was skeptical of the quality when ordering this mask because it was inexpensive but was pleasantly surprised.

Did the mask work much better than the US Diver mask it replaced? No. Did it have seepage due to beard? Yes. So did the US Diver mask. Is it worth the money? Yes. The mask it replaced was 6 years old and time to be replaced. Would I recommend it? Yes. I assume there is a better mask on the market.

This mask fits great and rarely leaks from the sides as some of my other masks have. The lenses work great: I can see clearly at distances! Now I can make the most out of 30 visibility. Ive since been told that it wasnt wise to buy a mask with a purge for diving, but I havent had any problems with it, although its more likely to clear from the side than the purge. I though I might get rid of that little bit of water at the bottom that gets in your eyes if you turn upside down. It does seem to do that, but Im not sure if its the purge thats clearing. If it gives me any trouble, Ill just buy another Alpha 2 without a purge and switch my lens.
