Rating: Bonica Snapper HDDV 5.0 Digital Video Camera with external light.
Reviewer: John H., Monday, August 17, 2009
The camera worked great, easy to use. Used the silicon skin only for swimming with Whale Sharks. The skin worked great, no leaks. The external light stopped working after about 15 minutes use. No leaks, battery was charged. Called Bonica, customer service was very good for returning the light for warranty service.

Rating: Bonica Snapper HDDV underwater video camera
Reviewer: Stephen Kantrud, Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Camera is compact, light and easy to operate, however, after the first dive, there is a small amount of rust showing up on the hard case hinge and hard case attachement to the light bar. This indicates to the user that they are not stainless steel. The color is compatible with other cameras of this price range and the light battery typically lasted through two dives with no dimness noticed.

Went to the bahamas this last week and took the camera on every dive worked as well as stated. I do believe there wasnt a bad shot I took even in bad lighting. I would recommend the filter as some colors were not bright and clear. thanks again

Rating: What a GREAT memory collector !!!
Reviewer: Jeffrey L., Monday, November 03, 2008 - View all my reviews
I just returned from two weeks in Truk Lagoon, and this camera system was one of the best I have EVER experienced...it took great photos (I also recommend getting the seawater (red/orange) filter to really bring out the colors) and outstanding videos...plus the single-hand operation made it ideal when hanging on an descent line or pulling yourself through a wreck...the housing was VERY easy to open and close, plus the camera was very handy when using it topside...I highly recommend this camera system to anyone thats wanting to collect memories of their dives (and trip !!) without the hassle and concern of a large sophisticated camera rig...

Operating this item has been a breeze. I have been very please with the results. Ingenious interior backup u/w case. Dislike motor noise on u/w video. If you get HC memory (I got 4Gb for 60min), get a player also, as most std. memory slots will not play HC chips. Enjoy.

Pros:Found the camera to be very easy to operate even under water. Small and compact with u/w housing good for travel. Video plays very nice on Vizio 42inch HD lcd tv. Still photos also very good. Cons:Can hear zoom and auto focus doesnt matter if you edit video with music. Must convert video files from quick time to windows if you want to use windows editing software. Camera software will convert these files for you. Overall very good u/w video camera would recommend it to my dive friends.
