pros: weighs luggage quickly and accurately in kg or lbs. has a countdown timer and built-in led flashlight. uses two aaa batteries. cons: no storage pouch or case. no locks on the switches. other thoughts: with no storage pouch, you really need to stuff it inside a heavy sock to protect it while in your luggage. with no way to lock the push button switches it is likely that it will be turned on while in your luggage. remove one of the aaa batteries and re it backwards to prevent accidental activation while in your luggage.

this gadget will save you a ton of money when you check your luggage at the airline ticket counter. i was able to shift stuff around in my bags and get under the 50 pound weight limit, which saved me a lot of money for overweight bags. too bad scuba.com is ping it from their product line.

As airline companies continue to make travel less and less appealing, especially related to baggage, the handheld digital luggage scale is an absolute must. Unless you want to pay excessive fees in addition to your ticket, be prepared! Accuracy was almost exact when leaving my home compared to the weight on the scale at the airport!

This item has the greatest value especially for scuba diving trips that Ive ever received out of anything Ive purchased for travelling. You could easily save its cost in one trip or at least save the time and hassle of rebalancing 2 bags at the airline check in counter. If youre running late itll most certainly save the choice between a missed flight or an overweight charge. Its so easy to use. Its accurate. Its small. Its lightweight. Undoubtedly a high value low cost purchase. I gave it a 4 only because the instructions are written by someone who doesnt know English well. The tare instructions didnt work for me and its tricky to accomplish. But I cant see ever needing that functionality.

A bit pricey, yet not as expensive as airline excessive weight charges. Also a bit heavy. Way convenient as you do not have to view display and catch weight while lifting, simply lift, wait for tone, set luggage down and read display. I am happy I purchased this luggage scale. maui mike

This is a simple and easy to pack scale for balancing luggage weight and availding the airport hassle of shifting contents from one bag to another at the most inconvienient time.
