Rating: Good but not Great
Reviewer: Tom B., Monday, September 22, 2008 - View all my reviews
The Henderson Jumpsuit fit great, was easy to get on and off and provided similar warmth to that of a 2mm wetsuit. It was also nice that it had basically neutral buoyancy which allowed me to reduce my weight by about 2 lbs. Last week I used this wetsuit to dive in the waters around Curacao. I found that it was still a bit too warm for my tastes and was able to survive with a rash guard most of the trip. I used the jumpsuit only for night dives or when I got to my third or fourth dive during a day. My one complaint is that the jumpsuit seems to be more susceptible to pilling when compared to a typical wetsuit. After one use, the shoulders showed noticeable wear from my BCD. I am not sure if this was due to rubbing of my BCD with the jumpsuit or maybe Velcro. I did realized that I had some Velcro on my BCD that was not properly adjusted that could have caused this.

Rating: Great all round suit
Reviewer: Linda Petrarca, Tuesday, September 16, 2008
I ordered three of these-one for myself (age 60 female 53"), one for my mom age 80 (56 female) neither of us in the best of shape figure- wise, and one for my 84 year father. My husband and I dived 2-3 times a day for two weeks in Caribbean water 78-82 at surface, 60s at depth. My parents in same conditions snorkeled.
All were very happy with the comfort-warmth and ease of putting on. They dried much faster than our polarteck suits, and only a bit slower than our skins. We had one 1 mil neoprene suit to compare it with- this was much more stretchy and comfortable, and dried faster. For the price, I dont think there is a better suit and we have been diving for 27 years so I have a few to compare it with

Rating: "Fit" to perform
Reviewer: Eric Krichbaum, Saturday, July 14, 2007
Dive skin was very comfortable and fit well - qualified later.
Foot straps helped to keep the legs in place.
Easy to put on.
I used in 84 degree water for protection. No problem with warmth.
Slight wear in shoulder area from BC.
Dries quickly.
Size chart for me was not accurate (my wife bought one and the chart matched her measurements better).
Im 6 3", 208 lbs, 43" chest, 37" waist, shirt: 16" x 35"
Per size chart I should use XXL.
Bought one - would have had to be 30 lbs heavier to fit.
Returned for XL - fit was still loose. Neck was very loose.
Bought Large - fit great. Returned XL.

Rating: Good suit, hard to fit
Reviewer: Fred W., Thursday, August 28, 2008 - View all my reviews
The suit probably wont really replace a 2mm suit, but it is warmer than your average skin. It is very comfortable, although cut a little high in the neck for my taste. Forget the size chart. At 510" and 230 pounds, I should have bought a 3XL. Reading the reviews, I ordered the 2XL and it was too big, so I returned it for an XL. I considered returning it for a L, but decided not to. You probably want to order based on height on the chart and forget weight. It stretches enough to fit most body shapes and since it is a not laminated material it shouldnt cause it any problems.

Rating: like long underwear
Reviewer: Zach T., Monday, July 28, 2008
Im using this suit as an extra layer under a pinnacle "semi-dry" 7mil suit. The 7mil never fit perfectly, and Ive been getting cold in the north atlantic water (40s and 50s at depth usually). This jumpsuit completely changed my diving experience - Im much warmer now, actually to the point of being comfortable. Another benefit is that the wet suit slides on easily now over the jumpsuit fabric (even when wet). My only complaint is that the front zipper only comes down to about the belly button level. This is very inconvenient if youre male and trying to use the head...

Rating: My experiance with Henderson Polyolefin Jumpsuit
Reviewer: Robert Partridge, Wednesday, April 16, 2008
I found the suit to be very easy to put on and
comfortable to wear, as opposed to neoprene suits. It
protected me from being stung by sea life almost as well
as neoprene suits. Its tendency to pill, when exposed to
velcro was about the same as neoprene. When hung up to dry
it tended to dry very quickly. For added warmth I suggest
wearing a thermal undershirt inside the suit.

Rating: Great Dive Skin
Reviewer: Dina K., Wednesday, April 16, 2008 - View all my reviews
I am very pleased with this dive skin. The spine pad is not just on the spine, it is also extended across the lower back allowing for more comfort from the tanks. The knee pads are also a plus. Generally one does not come into contact with coral or other sea life, however there is always that occasional event, and it is a great added protection. The skin also kept me warm, as I tend to get cold fast. I recomend this product for all divers. I was also surprised with the very reasonable price.

Reviewer: Brigitte Krauss, Tuesday, June 05, 2007 - View all my reviews
I have the jump suit in size medium since 1 year and use it practically daily for swimming. It is excellent and I am very happy with it. Unfortunately you do not make the perfect size for me and I would like to know what the possibilities are to do something for that. I reordered it recently in a size large, but according to my son, who is an expert wind surfer, it did not fit tightly enough.
Your service is excellent and I am glad to know about your company from my son. Brigitte Krauss

Rating: The Best Skin!
Reviewer: Tolen May, Saturday, August 25, 2007
I really like this product - its really heavy for a skin and you dont feel like youre in a skimpy little lycra skin (which I always feel looks kinda stupid when Im wearing one). Its a great for warm water diving where you dont really need a wetsuit but dont want to dive in your shorts. The inside is nice and fuzzy and the spine pad and knee pads are really nice features.
I wanted somthing heavier than a skin but lighter than a wetsuit - I think this fills the bill.

Rating: We LOVE our dive skins!!
Reviewer: Julie C., Tuesday, November 04, 2008 - View all my reviews
My husband and I purchased our skins just before our trip to Kona, and we both agree that theyre now our favorite piece of dive/snorkel gear. Theyre super easy to slip on, they dry quickly, they make putting on wet suits a breeze, they look good, and they provide just the right amount of warmth to keep you comfortable for hours of snorkeling and diving (and you dont have to worry about getting sunburned!). I definitely recommend this product!!

Rating: Henderson Jumpsuit
Reviewer: Gary B., Monday, September 24, 2007
Just came back from three 100 dives off NC coast using the Henderson 17 oz superior polyolefin jumpsuit. Getting older hasnt dampened my love of diving, but it has made me less tolerant of being cold at depth. This skin added much more warmth than my previous thin skin. It worked well under my shortie. I am 61" and weigh #195. I needed the X-Large size (had to return a large), so be generous with the sizing.

Rating: Best for warm water
Reviewer: Matti S., Thursday, April 10, 2008 - View all my reviews
This is an excellent dive skin, best I have tried. Its a little more substantial than the old version. Polyolefin feels better on (my) skin in and out of water than lycra and gives more abrasion protection. It also works great with a light wetsuit jacket or shorty, giving a little more warmth and a lot more protection against sun, rocks and critters. Also, no logos that peel off in water like in some lycras.

Rating: Great suit
Reviewer: Clay G., Monday, August 18, 2008
I recently purchased this Polyolefin jumpsuit for a trip to St. Maartin and it worked great. The water temps were in the high 70s/low 80s and the suit provided plenty of warmth without the buoyancy of neoprene wet suit. It was also handy when we jumped in on top of a bunch of jellies - no stings! I was planning on buying a 5mm but am going to try this under my 3mm first. Great suit and a great value.

Reviewer: Justin Stuart, Monday, February 26, 2007 - View all my reviews
I really like my polyolefin jumpsuit. I wear it underneath my 7mm wetsuit and it definitely adds a level of insulation but also makes donning and doffing the wetsuit much easier, even when wet. and on days that are very warm, you can just wear the jumpsuit for skin protection. highly recommend this product for use as separate layer or as another layer of insulation under your current suit.

This fit my petite wife great. The added warmth was just enough to let her enjoy snorkeling in 78 degree water for over an hour. Normally she chills out after 30 minutes. Easy to put on, made her look good too and protected her from wind on the beach afterwards.
Great investment for someone who wouldnt wear a 2mil neoprene suit because of the bulk, seemed to give the same warmth.

This wetsuit was not my first choice but I have been pleased with it and like it mych better after using it several times. I wish it was offerred in more colors. It is easy to put on and take off. It was the perfect suit for my most recent dive in Cayman - not too hot or too cold. It is fairly priced. I would purchase it again - especially if other colors were offered.

Next I am going to call and get help choosing the right shorty for my Kona trip this October 08.

Spent 20 yrs slapping on SPF 45 and whining about bits I missed until I bought this skin. Snorkeled for several hours every day for a week without any burn. Also went body surfing for a day when everyone else got jelly fish stings and had full protection. Well made and generously sized, I am 60", 220lbs and bought XXL might have been ok with XL.

I used the jumpsuit as a liner to a 7mm wet suit on a recent dive trip to Catalina. My group made one night dive and six day dives. I was surprised at how comfortable my dives were in the 54-57 degree water. (The others in my group wore dry suits) I highly recommend this suit/liner for anyone that dives in what I consider cold water.

Nice fit and finish. Xtra features including padding in the back and knees much appreciated. Front zipper easy to work. Sharp looking on women. Somewhat difficult to remove when wet, but easy enough to take off in reverse and turn back right side after off. Very comfortable for 80-85 degree water off Costa Rica this past February.

Perfect for instruction in the pool. Just enough protection to keep you warm, but not so much that you get hot. I wear it under a 7mm wetsuit for cold water diving and it provides that extra bit of protection you can sometimes need. Not to mention how easy it makes getting in and out of heavy wetsuits. And it dries super-fast too.

Rating: Great Caribbean Skin!
Reviewer: Steve E., Tuesday, October 28, 2008
My husband and I bought this skin for our trip to Bonaire. Perfect for 80+ degree water. I do not however believe that it is the equivalent of a 2 mil suit as mentioned. Great though when a skin is all you need and want a little protection. Would recommend this suit to all our dive buddies going to warm water!

Now I am a big guy that unfortunately has a reaction to neoprene. But give to Henderson to make a suit that offers enough protection that I can where this as base layer under my wet suit or alone in the warmer waters and not have a break out. The spine padding is a nice touch and the suit fits great.

I use this suit for added warmth in cold water. Mine is extra large. The suit does what it says except the sizing is a little off. I could have bought on size smaller.
It needs the zipper to travel down about six more inches to
allow a ready access for bathroom needs
