Rating: The Suprema Super Sport Camera is a great deal!
Reviewer: Ricky Cochran, Friday, October 27, 2006 - View all my reviews
You will get as good, if not better pictures from this model than you will with the one-time use underwater cameras. Factor in the cost of those disposable cameras, and you pay back in about 4 rolls of film. But, you get so much more. The auto film advance is much nicer than trying to manually advance. The underwater view finder is a helpful addition. It has flash, and you can set it to on/off depending on your needs. The case opens and closes easily. The instructions for use are quite clear. This was my first purchase for underwater camera equipment. Since I didnt want to get into the hundreds of dollars for equipment for just taking pictures on vacation while snorkeling this was a great investment without being expensive. Now I can take a roll of film, dry off the case, change film, and go right back to taking pictures. Ill even take it fly fishing with me and not worry about getting my camera wet. A very good value.

Rating: An inexpensive step up from sub-par disposable cameras!
Reviewer: Angelique Clayton, Tuesday, September 19, 2006
I have to admit to having low expectations when I bought this underwater camera for $50. Up until now, Ive been TRYING to use disposable cameras under water, but virtually NO PICTURES have turned out any deeper than say, one or two feet. The Suprema Super Sport is a step up from that type of camera. Its battery-powered, has a sweet water-tight housing and view finder, and its got a built-in, automatic flash that illuminates the subject(s). True, this camera probably wont win you any photo prizes (but how many of us have thousands of dollars to spend on the truly spectacular equipment?!). Visibility has to be great, or you have to be really close (no more than 10 or 12 feet, or so) to an object in order to get a decent pic, but at least they come out. All in all, Im really happy about this purchase. Itll definitely hold me over until I *can* afford the expensive gear! J.C. Ohio

Rating: Better than anticipated.
Reviewer: Tammie G., Tuesday, February 27, 2007
I went to Cozumel in February and was planning my first scuba diving adventure. The cost of videographers was expensive so decided to purchase a camera instead. I was told to expect that very few pictures would turn out as it was my first time. What a surprise!!! Not only was the Suprema Super Sport easy to use, most of the pictures turned out fairly well. Some were absolutely awesome. (The key is getting as close to the item as possible) I compared all the options availabe for a reasonable price and dont think I could have picked a better camera. Even the few pictures I took topside came out extremely well. I did have a problem with the rewinding mechanism but scuba.coms customer service was very easy to work with and exchanged the camera with no hassles. I would definitely recommend the Suprema Super Sport.

Rating: Suprema Super Sport

The camera housing feels solid. Unlikely to break. Instructions are short but say all that is needed to leave you without any other questions. Like others have said, unless you have good visibility, try to stay close to underwater shots. Camera does float so if you are scuba diving and cant figure out where your camera look up. There is a 8 inch rubber lanyard that comes in handy but is hard to install unless you read the instructions. Go figure. Good shooting

Rating: Nice addition to our cruise
Reviewer: Fermin D., Friday, March 02, 2007
Purchased this item not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasntaly suprised with the results of the photos. As it was our first attempt to take photos underwater we had some difficulties. However the difficulties were human not mechanical. The camera stayed dry within, was very easy to use. And best of all the price was right for my level of expertice. I would recommend this item to novices such as my self.

Rating: pretty good
Reviewer: tamara p., Friday, May 25, 2007
I didnt find the camera to be as good as the other reviewers.. its definitely better than disposable one-time use underwater ones, and it worked fine for me at 100 feet. However, the pictures only turn out if youre right in front of the camera - anything a few feet away wont turn up too well. But Im definitely happy with the camera, it seems quite durable, and the pictures taken close-up look great.

Rating: Reusable Underwater Camera with Flash
Reviewer: William H., Wednesday, May 30, 2007
This is an extremely cheap camera with a great underwater housing. I bought it for the flash, which I thought would help bring out the colors in my underwater photos. It works well on very close shots, which is the key to this camera. Get close! I would recommend it as an alternative to disposables, which cost $10-$12.

We used the Suprema Super sport to take excellent photos while snorkelling along a shallow reef(about 6-7 feet depth of water) near the south point of Cozumel. It works well and we got some really good shots. Our kids had fun with it too.

Rating: Good little camera for the money
Reviewer: Bradley B., Saturday, April 21, 2007
The camera does a pretty good job for the money, as long as you are pretty close to the item being photographed, and you have good ambient light.
