Customer Reviews for Sherwood Absolute Dry Snorkel:
Rating: Snorkel for the Scuba Diver
Reviewer: William Clark,
the quality of a snorkel is how well it fits with your mask and other equipment and this snorkel is custom made.
the mouthpiece is comfortable, just the right size and easy to use. the flex tube at the bend of the snorkel is just the right diameter and flexibility. and best of allyes the best is yet to come and the best is the flap at the water surface seals tightly and completely to assure the no water gets past and you do not enhale any water.

This is easlily the best dry snorkel Ive ever had. Many say theyre dry, but cannot come close to delivering. The sherwood takes on no water. It stayed completely dry. The ratcheting system makes it easy to adjust it to the mask. it is awesome.

Rating: Great snorkel
Reviewer: Serena H.,
When I bough this snorkel for my husband and I, one the selling points was that is was a dry snorkel at a reasonable price. So far it has performed well, and while I dont believe any snorkel is 100% dry, I havent gotten mouthfuls of water when I dove under the surface. Overall very satisfied with my purchase, would recommend to a friend.

ive always had trouble with water filling up my snorkel in surf. this snorkel is awesome. ive gone out in relatively rough conditions, with waves ping me below the waterline, and ive had no water enter this snorkel. it is absolutely awesome.

Rating: Great Product
Reviewer: stephen bachert,
Hi, Im new to the scuba world and purchased this snorkel as part of my basic kit. I am impressed with its ability to seal out water when submerged. If you keep the mouth piece in and dive, when you surface the snorkel is clear of water or has very little in it. It also has an adjustable mask strap clip which is also a big help. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

This is my first time buying a snorkel, so I wanted to get a good one. I am satisfied with this snorkel.
The only problem was that the splash guard fell off and was lost in the sea. However, once I contacted scuba.com I was told that this problem was limited to a particular batch of defective snorkels and sent me a new one immediately with no extra charges.
The automatic close at the top also works really well when free diving, although sometimes a bit of water can get it, but the purge comes in really handy anyway.
all in all, I am satisfied with the product for the price. I am even more satisfied with scuba.com customer service!

Rating: Great Snorkel
Reviewer: Alexander Weisman,
This snorkel seems to live up to how it is advertised. It even impressed the manager of my local dive shop. It breathes nicely, clears easy, and it seems to stay pretty dry. The mouthpiece is comfortable. I also like the adjustability of the retaining clip. I would certainly recommend this snorkel to anyone on the market for one.

Questions and Answers for Sherwood Absolute Dry Snorkel:
Melanie:
the reviews look great for this snorkel, however, i have had problems with dry snorkel with floater device before. at the least tilt of my head, it would shut off my air supply could only keep face completely straight down. no reviewers mention this problem for the sherwood, so im assuming this one works well. if not, can i return it for full replacement value? seeing only 5* reviews makes me a little suspicious.

:
This is one of our most popular snorkels and should work fine for you.
Alex:
can i order Sherwood Absolute Dry Snorkel with small mouthpiece or i should buy separate.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
The Absolute snorkel only comes with one size mouth piece. Just an FYI that particular snorkel also has an ergonomically tipped mouthpiece, so a standard replacement mouthpiece often isn't very comfortable.
Ed:
How long is the Sherwood Absolute Dry Snorkel? I want to make sure it will fit into my suitcase.
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
It is a standard sized snorkel, approximately a or so in length. Maybe a couple inches longer. It will fit easily into any standard suit case or carry on bag.
