This is my first time buying a snorkel, so I wanted to get a good one. I am satisfied with this snorkel.
The only problem was that the splash guard fell off and was lost in the sea. However, once I contacted scuba.com I was told that this problem was limited to a particular batch of defective snorkels and sent me a new one immediately with no extra charges.
The automatic close at the top also works really well when free diving, although sometimes a bit of water can get it, but the purge comes in really handy anyway.
all in all, I am satisfied with the product for the price. I am even more satisfied with scuba.com customer service!

Rating: Great Snorkel
Reviewer: Alexander Weisman, Saturday, October 10, 2009
This snorkel seems to live up to how it is advertised. It even impressed the manager of my local dive shop. It breathes nicely, clears easy, and it seems to stay pretty dry. The mouthpiece is comfortable. I also like the adjustability of the retaining clip. I would certainly recommend this snorkel to anyone on the market for one.

Rating: Good results - good value

The Sherwood Absolute Dry Snorkel performed as stated and I experienced no problems while using it. For the occasional user/"non-professional" this item is definitely a good value for the price. Becauise of the good performance and price we will be purchasing another one for my wife.

I love this product does everything it says. I have bought three and given them to friend, they work so well. Also great cutomer service on my first order I had request 2 day service they sent part of the order and not the rest they shipped it same day and no charge. They said it was their mistake. You dont get service like that anymore.

Keeps water out like advertised, 2-3" sliding adjustment that locks to keep it in correct position & doesnt spin around like my old snorkel. Its a little longer than Im used to, but not a problem. A little difficult to attach to my mask, but I guess that means it wont fall off during a dive (or when taking my gear off) which is how I lost my old one.

I had some old scuba equipment that my wife and kid were using in Florida where we live. I did not know about the dry snorkels but it is worth every penny. No more water in our mouths. The Sherwood was a little cheaper than others but worked very well. Good recommendation from people at Scuba.com

Rating: Absolute & Perfect

I recently bought two of these for my wife and I at the recomendation of "Bob," one of the salesman there who was an excellent help. We took them on our trip to Cozumel, and while not diving enjoyed snorkeling off of the beaches. They worked flawlessly. We were able to dive down and not have to clear the snorkel one bit. And when waves large enough to clear the top of the snorkel hit, you temporarily unable to draw air, and definitely not water, then continue breathing as normal. Excellent!

Rating: Awesome Snorkel

Absolutely Dry is exactly what it means. THis snorkel does have a little bit large volume. Takes 2 breaths to clear it completely but once clear, never leaks and if you accidently submerge, it does not leak and you know because you can draw no air...back on the surface, it opens right up. This is a great snorkel in my opinion.
