Ive been through any number of snorkels and this is the only unit Ive ever used that lives up to its name. It is completely dry! The float-gate mechanics are just brilliant. Basically its the same principle as having a ball float inside but nothing can get stuck and there is none of that 1/2 ounce of water left in the snorkel. The only water I found in the snorkel came from the mouthpiece not being in my mouth. The purge valve works as described and requires just a small puff to clear. The lower resevoir is more than ample to handle a few ounces of water. The unit is flexible and easy on the mouth. I personally wear dentures and after changing out the stock mouthpiece with an orthodontic model I found it to be extremely comfortable with no drag or pulling on my appliances. I would highly recommend this snorkel to anyone! It doesnt matter if youre a snorkelling expert or a beginner, not having to worry about clearing your apparatus is just one less thing to allow you to enjoy your experience.
