What is the difference between blacktech and the standard version? Are there any differences mechanically? Advantages vs. disadvantages?
Hello Denise, this is what the tech offers that the standard version does not. The Black Tech coating is not only for aesthetics, it is also extremely scratch and corrosion resistant. Applied on both the first and second stages, this premium finishing gives a real technical plus to a high performing regulator.
How do you put the regulators all together
Hello Garrett, if you buy your gear from us it will already be put together for you so all you need to add is your tank and water. If you have your gear and need to put it together if you go to: http://www.scuba.com/video/46/How-to-Assemble-a-Scuba-Diving-Regulator.html. That video will show you how to assemble your gear.
2 questions: (1) when you buy scubapro equipment from a local store, a lot will do servicing for a standard fee, "parts for life". what is your policy? (2) in the options down before adding to cart it says "black" - is that black with chrome as pictured on all black? thanks.
The parts warranty is from Scubapro, not the local dive shop. All authorized dealers will honor their warranty. Our rates can be found at: http://www.scuba.com/resources/ioc.asp toward the bottom of the page.
second part of my previous question was missed: in the options down before adding to cart it says "black" - is that black with chrome as pictured on all black? thanks.
Sorry I meant the Redesigned Neptune Space G.Diver Mask with 2nd Stage that is the one I want to get so with this one do I need to get ScubaPro MK25 / S600 Regulator System or not and please advice what else should I get with the mask
Hello Ahmed, the suggested 1st stage for the FFM is the Ocean Reef SL 35 TX Regulator 1st Stage web link: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-124/033106/Ocean-Reef-SL-35-TX-Scuba-Regulator-1st-Stage..html.
what can you tell me about 1st stage mk15
Hello Steve, the MK15 frist stage you are looking for is a discontinued 1st stage. If you are asking about the MK25 here are the specs for that regulator: MK25 EVO First Stage Air balanced flow-through piston in a chrome-plated brass body provides constant and effortless airflow unaffected by depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate. Patent-pending XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) fully isolates the mechanical elements from the cold, increasing freezing resistance 30 percent over the current MK25 without compromising breathing performance. New spring insulating coating, body insulating bushing, anti-freeze cap, bigger body and cap thread all work in concert with the XTIS to improve cold-water performance. Anti-freeze protection radically increases breathing reliability when diving in the most extreme water temperatures. Two high pressure and five high-flow low pressure ports on a swivel turret maximize hose routing options. External intermediate pressure adjustment enables technicians to fine-tune performance quickly and easily. Available in either 3364psi/232bar INT or 4350psi/300bar DIN configurations. Weight: INT 232 (oz/g): 27.9/790; DIN 300 (oz/g): 20.1/572. Airflow at 2900psi (l/min/SCFM): >8500/301. Intermediate pressure (psi/bar): 130-142/9-9.8.
I currently have a Tusa Xpert RS-460, and have been thinking of upgrading to a higher end reg. Ive been looking at this ScubaPro, and the Tusa 681. Any thoughts on those two, or any reccomendations on another type? Or should I just keep what I have?
Hi, what would be the price for this reg system completely built with hoses and extra hose for dry suit and an R195 octo?
Hello Alon the regulator with the R195 octo and this: http://www.scuba.com/scuba-gear-159/066837/Pinnacle-Drysuit-Inflator-Hose.html drysuit inflator you are looking at $977.95 sub-total.
Newly restyled for 2013, our best-selling S600 is continuously evolving and is in its 5th edition. Timeless design and chrome plated marine grade brass make this high performing system a classic.
Our top performing balanced piston first stage paired with our high performance air balanced second stage; this combination is SCUBAPRO's most popular regulator combination. The S600 truly matches the MK25's characteristics and thanks to its adjustment possibilities, it adapts to all diving conditions and all diver preferences. Ease of breathing is the essence of this system.
The MK25 first stage is our absolute top performer and is a superior regulator thanks to its ultra stable intermediate pressure resulting in an extremely punctual and constantly high delivery of air. The means instant air flow at any cylinder pressure and water temperature for a real carefree dive.
Paired with the air balanced high performance S600 second stage, this system is our top performer.
Balanced flow valve provides constant & effortless air flow.
Diver adjustable inhalation control enables personal adjustment of breathing effort.
Diver adjustable Venturi Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) dive/pre-dive control switch and extra high flow exhaust valve account for easy inhale & exhale.
