Get this reg. Works great at all recreatioal diving depths without having to use the ajustment knob. The swivel provides great comfort, you want this feature! I am very comfortable with this reg. and the result was better beath control on all dives. I am reminded how good this reg is at the end of every dive and look at the remaining air in my tank. Buy this reg., you wont regreat it

Breathes great.
Have used on 14 dives so far, many over 80 feet included two deep dives in excess of 130 feet. Breathes effortlessly and adjust perfectly to depth. Barely had to tweak the user-adjust setting. Only used in warm Caribbean water so far, so no cold water review experience.

Just got back from Cozumel. The Atomic is fantastic. Easy breather. The swivel on the hose made a difference in reducing jaw fatigue.

Questions and Answers for Atomic Z2X Regulator:
Jacob:
What are the main differences between this reg and the little brother the Z2?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
This unit has a swivel on the second stage which makes it very comfortable in the mouth.
Chris:
Looking to buy a Atomic Z2X regulator - can you use a Mares Octo buddy breather?
Darrick (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Hello Chris, yes you can use the Mares Octo with this 1st stage.
Joseph:
Is the swivel capability worth the extra $100? or would I not miss it in the real world?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
That's a difficult question to answer. I personally never gave a 2nd stage swivel a single thought or felt it necessary over the course of many years of diving. Until I bought a Z2X. Now I find that swivel to be a product I'd add to any regulator and dislike the pull of the hose on a regulator not equipped with one.
Ken:
Do you stock the "sealed" version, part no. 03-0080-6P. I understand this model is for cold water diving.
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
For current stock or availability contact info@scuba.com or 800-347-2822 Unless you are diving in water that has ice floating at the surface any regulator will handle cold water and does not need to be sealed.
TSgt:
Is the z2 regulator available now?
