Rating: Excellent Regulator for Recreational Diving
Reviewer: Scott J., - View all my reviews
I purchased two Genesis GS2000 regulators for warm water diving. They performed well on a week long trip to Roatan. They were easy to draw and no perceptable difference between 3000 PSI and 800 PSI. We used them mostly at 40-60 feet but did one wreck dive of 110 and they performed well. On this trip we used Air but will be using them with Nitrox in Bonaire later this year.

Rating: Great back-up regulator
Reviewer: David Vanderpool,
I purchased this as a back-up for a dive to HI. Small and light weight will be great addition for my dive bag as a just in case safety back-up regulator.

My daughter was the one that used this regulator the only problem with it was the mouthpiece was kind of big for her mouth. She will probably buy a smaller mouthpiece for this regulator.
Sincerely,
Anan Marsh

It may not cost the most but it is great. No jaw fatigue, and it never free flows when not in use. So easy to adjust, would definantly recommend to everyone.

Kenry:
The gs2000 regulator as seen on web site is that all u need for diving in salt water? Or do we need d Xs scuba as well? How long for delivery? Are u in d USA?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
This is the primary regulator only, 1st and 2nd stage, no gauges, alternate regulator, or BC hose. The shipping charge will be listed when you proceed to checkout and prior to submitting the order. Standard order delivery is within 2 weeks.
WS:
I am having some issues with the hoses that I did not have with my sherwood magnum blizzard. It all depends on the how the first stage is connected to the tank and the height of the first stage with respect to the top of the bcd.
1) Should the tank air hole be facing the back of the divers head?
2) Should the first stage long axis be vertical or horizontal?
Bill (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
You can move the low pressure hoses to meet the setup you want. Typically the first stage is setup with the low pressure ports down and the hoses coming off to the side not directly towards the diver's head.
dawn:
is the Genesis G2000 regulator compatible with Nitrox with O2 to 40%?
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
:
Genesis does not warrant the use of Enriched Air with their regulator without the installation of a Nitrox Service Kit by an authorized technician.
