Rating: Great Buy
Reviewer: Dwight C., Sunday, October 25, 2009
Some people dont like the idea of Air II because if need of alternate air source then your Air II is now a inflator/deflator and air source. Regardless I love it, if a place has a problem with it i just put my octo back on the first stage. Great buy, great product and would recommend it to anyone. Only downside it makes your hose kinda long.

Rating: XS II works fine

Ive only used the safe second just to try it out on my last four dives and it breathes easy and its nice to lose the octopus hose. The BCD inflates easy as well. I just wish the buttons were arranged a little more ergonomically. Its a great product.

Reduces the amount of hoses and gear which is always nice.
Love it. Easy to use, very well thought out. All information is easy to see as the displays are large (and I need reading glasses). Highly recommended.
Scuba.com deserves 6 stars as my order was placed at 5:00p.m. and arrived at my door at 10:00a.m. the next morning, everything exactly as we ordered and just in time for our trip to Cartagena. The recommendations made by their customer service were excellent.

Rating: .....just needs adjusted
Reviewer: Dana H., Sunday, September 30, 2007
The Oceanic Air XS II started out great! I love the inline feel, out of the way. The position of the inflate deflate are easier to use than some of the reviews I read. After 6 days it started to free flow. After the 10th day it leaked too much to be able to use it. It just needs to be adjusted, I just didnt think it would need adjusting so soon. Minor detail, I love the product.

Rating: One less hose, but could be better
Reviewer: Jung K., Saturday, February 03, 2007 - View all my reviews
The Oceanic Air XS II works just as advertised. It was relatively easy for me to replace the inflator on my BC. My BC must have come with a slightly different hose than the Air XS was meant for. The Air XS came with a clip thats supposed to cover the hose connector, but it wont fit on my hose.
The inflator and the purge valve are easy to find. But the dump button is kind of small and will take some time for me to locate without looking.
I am happy with the Air XS II and very happy to get rid of one hose. Im sorry I waited so long to make the change.

I am very much a fan of this item becuase it gives me a back up source of air if needed without taking up much room. I have less hose hanging from me so it makes it easier to get around under water. I would recommend this item.

Rating: great unit
Reviewer: robert blackmore, Tuesday, November 28, 2006
I tried this out off cozumel. I used it twice a day and 3 times one day. It worked flawlessly. It only came into use once when my dive partner ran out of air. I stuck it in my mouth and had absolutly no problem. It was a little clumsy but its not my first choice for a regulator. Its a great alternative to the bulky hose and second regulator.

I bought this as an upgrade to the non-integrated Oceanic Oct.
Breathes great, reduces the need for the extra hose and has yet to free flow on me.
Only 4 stars due to the slightly awkward position of the BC deflator button. Overcome easily enough though after a few dives getting used to it.
