the airwave plus is one of the many new hybrid inline octos. this thing is great because it allows you to knock off a hose, making you more streamlined. this is the perfect octo for dive travel. you get the simplicity of one hose for both your octo and your bc with the convenience of being able to hook it up to any standard power inflator. since it fits any standard power inflator, you can leave your bc at home if you need room in your suitcase for something else. the dive / pre-dive switch is a great feature something not found on many octos, but a great innovation nontheless.

The first one I received was defective, and it leaked air at the housing joint during my week long trip. If you can, test these before going to an exotic location. Scuba.com would not authorize me to have it repaired in Mexico under warranty and pay for the repair, but when I sent it back after the trip, Scuba.com was very good about just replacing it. I have received the new replacement, but have not been able to test it yet.

This is an excellent product. It is very compact and prevents you from worrying about having an octopus dragging around on the bottom. Also, a major plus is that it eliminates the need for a fourth house since it goes inline with the BC supply line. And it has an adjustable flow control that prevents free flow no matter what position you are in. It is also very easy to breath with even at depth.

great item to add your list. it reduces a lot of clutter because your octo stays right with your inflater hose instead of dragging on the bottom and it is one less hose to worry about. you figure with the amount of equipment you have to dive with anything you can eliminate is a plus.

Bought 2 of these (for wife & myself)- pretty nice way to streamline your gear. These were least expensive ones I could find. Only issue is that, should you have to use it after giving your reg to your buddy, the hose is pretty short.

Easy to connect and worked well with my Seaquest BC. I put on my new Zeagle BC and it is a little cumbersome with the inflater hose. Tends to pull on the hose and would not be very comfortable to use if required.

Lose a hose, reliable,not connected through the inflator/deflator hose, venturi knob, decent weight and all around good octo, been over 130+ feet w/ great air flow and use.
