Rating: Great product if Mares didnt have QA problems

Bought the octo to replace my old Proton Ice primary which continued to freeflow even after being serviced 5 times last year. The new Proton Ice Extreme has been freeflowing off and on since day 1 even after adjusting the flow rate (which I shouldnt have had to do on a brand new 2nd stage). Mares does provide good warranties for their products...but it would be even more impressive if I never had to make use of those warranties. Other than the freeflow, its compact, lightweight, comfortable and breathes easily & consistently. Id give em 5 stars if I only had to service my gear once a year.
