last dive trip to Maui I had a lot of problems with my masking fogging up. Yes. I have hair on my upper lip, but it hasnt been a problem before. The only thing thats changed is the mask. It is one of those low volume jobs where the glass is nearly touching your forehead. Do you think a larger mask, like one with side frames, would be less likely to fog? Any other suggestions, besides shaving?? Regards, Chuck Huebner Lafayette, La
No. All masks will fog. You should always was your new mask with either a commercial mask scrub or plain old toothpaste prior to their first use. This will clean the residue of the material the mask is coated with to prevent chipping of the glass during the grinding process. Also, it's a good idea to periodically wash your mask in this way to help clean off residue left from dirt or defogs.
I plan to get prescription lens, I need to know what is the best mask with purge, the ScubaPro Crystal Vu Plus with purge or the Oceanic with purge or are they about the same
I have a pr of ScubaPro Crystal Vu Plus Mask. Is it possible to change the lens on it and put corrective lenses in it. I have the stick on corrective lenses but would like the entire lens to be corrective.
