Rating: Good light, but has flooded
Reviewer: william n., Friday, September 30, 2011
Great light given the size, throws a good amount of light for looking under ledges etc. My light did flood on the first dive, the water took out the reflector and bulb. The manufacturer warrants the reflector but not the bulb.

Great light. Used it while diving on items at quarry, and checked out its capabilities. Nice and small and easy to use. Locking mechanism is great as I inadvertantly left light on several times. now i lock it.

Rating: Improved Replacement for Reliable Light
Reviewer: Thomas P., Saturday, August 13, 2011
the new princeton tec torrent is an improved to my former princeton tec surge that was always there for 8 years. the new locking switch and beefed up battery/bulb holder are welcomed improvements to an already reliable product.

Rating: Compact and Bright
Reviewer: John Schneider, Monday, August 09, 2010 - View all my reviews
Outstanding underwater light. Very bright and compact. Easy to handle. Light locks in the off position to prevent battery drain. Advertised battery life (8 AA) is an honest five hours. Great value! Travel light, purchase the batteries at the dive destination.

Rating: Blast light

The light is much smaller then the picture makes you think. It may be a keychain light but not a practical dive light.

Light was a little larger than I expected from the pictures, but it works well and puts out great light.

Rating: Very good all round compact size light..
Reviewer: Celeste C., Thursday, September 04, 2008
After much research and reading reviews, I decided to purchase this light as it seemed to be the best little all rounder. After my first dive with it in Spooky Channel, Roatan, I was so impressed with it, that I bought my Dive buddy one too. If you like looking into all those little nooks & crannies and want a small light-weight light that fits right in your bc pocket, his would be a good buy. Long battery life too.

Rating: Excellent Backup Light
Reviewer: Andy Lai, Wednesday, September 10, 2008 - View all my reviews
First dive I used it on was in less than 5 foot vis diving on a wreck-even with its small size, the Torrent let me both illuminate what I needed to, and signal my buddy with no problems even when I could barely see his LED light.
