Rating: OMS L.E.D Headlamp
Reviewer: Donald Zantop, Wednesday, September 03, 2008
I have used this light on a number of deep quarry dives. The suface muck layer blocks all light from penetrating to depth. The beam is concentrated and bright and lights up close to 20 feet in clear water. I also recently used it on a Cooper River megalodon tooth dive. This is a low viz dive where you work about 18 inches off the bottom and this light allowed me to use both hands to work the bottom looking for teeth and bones.

wonderful compact dive light.bright as any secondary dive light i have seen. especially handy for looking into nooks and crannies both day and night diving.the only relatively minor drawback is that you get about 2-3 hours of light per battery set. but for the size and having one more hand free (i use mine on my left wrist camera in the other), it cant be beat!!

This is a decent light. Very convenient to have it on your hand. While diving the wall at Monterey, it made searching for "critters" very easy. Would be a better if it was a little more powerful. Will be trying it out during my next night dive to see how it performs.

Rating: OMS 3 Watt L.E.D. Ultra Bright Headlamp
Reviewer: Brian P., Tuesday, August 21, 2007
this is a great little light, it comes with both a head strap and a hand strap. after ping a head light on a night wreck dive and watching it go past 250ft, i prefer using the hand mount. it has a powerful narrow spot. and is a great secondary light for night dives.

Extremely bright and compact. This is a very versitle light. It can be warn as a headlamp or on the back of the hand. It is as bright as a couple of big lights I own but offers the feature of hands free operation. Ill leave the other lights home next time.

The lamp is not very bright and the batteries run down pretty quickly. The hand mount works pretty good, but the head mount is awkward and does not stay in place very well unless worn under a hood.

Rating: Bright but silly battery
Reviewer: Jeanne L., Thursday, June 26, 2008
Battery only lasts 3 hrs, is not rechargeable. Terrible choice for an extended dive trip. Compatible rechargeable batteries may be available, experimenting with this now.
