Rating: Excellent backup light.

This light is very convienent to slip into the pocket of my bc for daytime use and a backup for night dives. During a night dive in San Carlos over the weekend of 18-21 May my buddies primary light gave out. We continued the dive with him using my TEC 40. He ordered one when we returned home. It provides a good bright light for such a small package.

Rating: Good Underwater Flashlight
Reviewer: Benjamin Ueland, Tuesday, September 19, 2006
I did not find this light quite powerful enough for a backup light, but it is good for peering inside ships and similar things. Additionally, this light is very useful for quarry diving, letting you and your buddy know where each other is in limited visibility. Its cheap cost, and the fact that it takes 4AA batteries both make it well worth the purchase.

Rating: Tec 40 Backup Light
Reviewer: Wendell Nope, Wednesday, September 20, 2006
I am more than pleased with this product and use two of them as backup lights when conducting Extended Range and CAve Dives. They are plenty bright for their size and I have had no failures to date. That should say something. Wendell Nope.

This is a great secondary light with a strong penetrating beam. Small enough to put in the pocket of your BCD or strap to your wrist
