Questions and Answers for ScubaPro Thresher Knife:
can these knives be used for things other then just scuba diving? (hunting)
Bob (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com)
They can, but typically stainless steel scuba knives aren''t known for their ability to keep an edge. There are far better choices for hunting knives than a scuba knife. Titanium scuba knives would stand a far better chance to hold up and keep an edge that would be useful as a hunting knife.
Quality knives are imperative tools for the diver and must fulfill two main priorities; a quality blade with a superior cutting edge, yet sturdy for prying and hammering and corrosion resistance. SCUBAPRO has chosen materials that provide both blade and durability excellence.
This knife has a 4.75' blade made of 304 Stainless Steel for high corrosion resistance. It has a conventional edge and a line-cutting notch.
