Rating: Top Quality, Great Price
Reviewer: Michael Barton, Friday, October 30, 2009
As a beginner diver, I did my homework and asked a lot of Dive Masters their opinion on BC choices. Overwelmingly, the Aeris name came to the top. During training I tried both vest and back inflate BCs and decided I preferred the feel of the back inflate. This BC is the best of both types. It is a back inflate with 2 small wrap around chambers that help upright you on the surface. After four dives now, I can say, I really enjoy diving with this BC. One last note, it has plenty of D-rings to attack any gear you might want to carry. To sum it up, Aeris quality combined with Scuba.coms great price, makes this BC an excellent choice no matter what you diving experience.

Rating: Clean configuration

I prefer this BCD to most others due to its clean design. Less things dangling causing unnecessary drag is very important to me. It is very comfortable and the back carrying handle is a big plus. At depth in a prone position the back bladder is a little funky when rolling onto either shoulder. The air in the bladder tends to shift to the uphill side. Not uncomfortable or annoying, just different.

I am very happy with my new BC. It has all of the features that I was looking for. Excellent fit, comfort, padding in the right places, lightweight, strong durable materials. Most of all, I really like the low profile, minimises drag and has all the lift that I was looking for. Very safe.

Rating: Atoms LX provides a great fit, good adjustments and secure weight system
Reviewer: Shaun B., Monday, September 24, 2007 - View all my reviews
As a recently certified advanced diver I’ve had the opportunity to try (rent) several different types of BCS found this one to be the best for the following reasons: 1. It’s a true Hybrid, it provides the best of both worlds (jacket & back buoyancy) 2. The weight system is stiff and pre-bent to conform to body and very easy to detach if required. 3. It is extremely comfortable with quick-release straps. 4 It has (6) mounting points for all of my extras. 5. Great big metal zippers with extended pull tabs. What I didn’t like: The cargo pockets are almost useless when the weight pouches are full, hence 4 stars!.
