I bought these on a whim, since they were a demo and so cheap, and they have worked out well. I wear them for kayaking, and I have scrambled on quite a few river rocks and muddy banks with good traction and no wear evident. They are comfortable and kept my feet warm even after immersion in some pretty cold river water.

Again I have not been able to use them yet because of a knee operation, but they are entirely different from what I imagined and I only hope that I shall be able to swim with them and not either float or sink!
