i bought these to use on a canoeing trip on the delaware river. they worked amazingly well. i was able to swim and wade around without hurting my toes on sharp rocks, and when i was out of the water they drained nicely so i wasnt walking around with a boot full of water. some of my companions wore sandals or crummy tennis shoes on the trip, and they were envious of my boots after they had either lost a shoe on the river, banged up their toes, etc. my only complaint is that when the zipper is up on these boots, they are really tight on my calves. they were so tight, i had to unzip them after a while as they were hurting my legs hence the 4 star rating. i guess they are designed for people who have really skinny straight legs... i just wore them with the zipper unzipped for most of the trip, and they stayed on just fine. this tactic might not work for someone wearing them in rough ocean conditions, however, as im not sure theyd stay on in that case. either way, great product! i hope oneill redesigns these in the future to fit a little more comfortably. :)

ONeill makes excellent booties that hold up extremely well, even if you make a lot of dives per year. And even if a lot of time is spent teaching classes in the in the gear-unfriendly environment of a chlorine pool. Weve looked all over our local area to try to find ONeill booties to replace the old, worn out ones. We were thrilled to find them on scuba.com. The rubber top and sides protect your feet from rubbing your fins and snug the fins on nicely. The rubber nub on the heel does a great job keeping your fin strap from sliding off your feet. They have just enough sole to protect your feet when shore diving but not so much that you feel like youre wearing a hiking boot. Only down side: they run a little small. Buy a size up from what you usually wear. And make sure they fit well in your fin before heading off to a dive trip with them.

If you have larger calves, then this boot wont work as well. The boot has a rigid structure that wont accommodate a larger leg, thus leaving the zipper about a 1/3 unzipped. Other than that, my gf likes the shoe and the warmth, it just doesnt fully fit. (69F and there wasnt any complaints about cold feet)

I bought this bootie for use as a rescue diver during power boat races and it held up well I made 3 rescue dives and had to turn 2 boats over after the flipped over. the water had fuel and oil around the boats and the bootie held up after just a simple wash. David C Siciliano

The boots are great, but they run kinda small. Something one wouldnt know unless theyve bought them before. However, the boots are of a good quality and I appreciate the rubber stop on the back that compliments my fins perfectly.

Great fit, warm and comfortable although the medium sole on this boot seems more like a soft sole. Good height, and zipper makes for easy entry and exit. Zipper does have a tendency to work its way down from time to time.

Boots are excellent design and quality.
However they run small. Need to note in your add
to up size by one size greater than normal.
